Re: FatCon .... The fact that there's now a convention like this is just another anecdote of a collapsing civilization and a society in terminal decline...

"A movement toward fat liberation"

This is in the pocket of everything about the woke movement. What that movement is about... people outside the line of normal healthy behavior get a boost in their status by forced campus and media manipulation of public opinion.

I have to be careful here. I have good friends and family that are obese. I know there is a genetic connection with some, but even lacking that I have empathy for that struggle. However, my general background reaction is a bit of disgust... as eating healthy and getting some regular exercise is not that difficult. Not doing so is just lazy. Yes, I know people can be busy and the craving for high calorie food is very difficult to resist... but come on man. What are we if not thinking and reasoning animals that have the capacity to make our own choices for how we live our lives?

My general problem is that obesity is unhealthy. And why would we celebrate anything unhealthy? I don't support fat-shaming, but I also don't support fat worship. This NPR article is fat worship.

It is funny as this stuff is coming from the left... the same political cohort that seems to be very sensitive to what the people of other countries think of America. I just checked and other countries think Americans are fat slobs. Great job American left in confirming this.

Barak Obama quietly recommended Claudine Gay for the President position and he quietly recommended she not be terminated. The downfall on this is that she will no longer dictate policy at Harvard but will be right in the forefront of indoctrinating (teaching) the children with her ideology. Where are the parents? Do they not ask their children what they are learning in school, do they not see a different behaviour when kids come home on recess - showing "how smart" they are and pushing their life's lessons on their parents. The real shame of all this is that there are qualified black females for every type of job, but people will look at them as being "chosen" and question their capability.

Imagine is they recruited Condi Rice as their next President. The professional wokes would go nuts!

Al Sharpton wrote, "President Gay’s resignation is about more than a person or a single incident. This is an attack on every Black woman in this country who’s put a crack in the glass ceiling,"

Fred Harari, operator of 'Freddy's Fashion Mart' was unavailable for comment, as he was killed after a hostage incident following 1995 protests led by Sharpton, who told the crowd of protesters: "We will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business,"

People routinely cite Tawany Brawley in reference to Al Sharpton. But no one died in that incident.

Seven people (not including the gunman) died due in part to Sharpton's inflammatory rhetoric. That ANYone pays attention to this race-hustler defies logic.

I forgot all about the murder of Fred Harari.... $harpton should have been charged with a hate crime for inciting that mob which killed Mr. Harari.

Don't cry for Claudine. Intersectional progressives always fail up. Shim will land a cushy advisor's seat on the board of some DEI-plagued corporation or investment house ... or a spot as assistant secretary in Biden's cabinet.
