Every contest on every ballot should include the option to vote for: "None Of These Candidates".

If that one wins, then a new election is held with all new candidates, and the old ones are not eligible to run again in that race.

I understand the 20 percent uncommitted vote being concerning but Nikki is actually a real politician with a following. I wouldn't vote for her but i would also not vote for trump if there was any alternatives other than Nikki or Binkley. 😉

Here’s a pretty interesting article from the Real Clear Politics assortment’s of articles.

Excellent article. Part of the problem is the vast number of REPUBLICANS AND CONSERVATIVES who insist the elections are "free and fair" or that any cheating, manipulating or conniving is too small to have an effect. Republicans cannot counter that which they refuse to admit exists.

I've reached the point now where I can see the whole thing (our country, maybe our world?) circling the drain. And I'm powerless to do anything about it. At all. Maybe this was inevitable, but part of me wants to start complaining like Frodo that he wished none of this had ever happened to him.

I suppose Gandalf's response was the best one. All that's left for me to do is decide what to do with the time that's given to me.

I'm done with politics, with economics, with immigration, with the Sexual Revolution, with the constant stream of never-ending Daily Doom In The News. Yes, I know I have to do something to help people. But there has to be a better way. I appreciate what Erick does, because just one week of it would cause me to lose what's left of my mind.

"So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world Frodo, besides the will of evil." -- Gandalf the Gray

That is, without a doubt, one of the best quotes EVER.

Here is my take on the EV thing. I find it very disappointing as an EV owner for 12 years, that they have been so politicized which has lead to public outcry and outright defiance. Why can't they just be another form of transportation. An option not a requirement or push for anything. I don't drive an EV to save the world. The way my lifestyle works it works for me to not have to gas up or pay the gas prices. With a solar panel on my roof, I am basically charging for free. But going back a bit.

Ev's should be just another car option. Not a political pawn.

On the CA wage hike. I foresee a lot of businesses suddenly getting into the bread making business. Soon to be "Harry's Auto Shop... and Bakery" LOL. Technically, walmart and other retailers could definitely get around that. They all sell hand made bread.

So what does this prove? Its proof that the wage hike is not good for businesses. And it makes no sense either. If anyone has taken a basic economy class they would know that any wage hike doesn't benefit because whatever percentage they raise the wages, prices go up. So whatever more your making 4-5$/hr gets eaten up by inflation. Makes no sense.

As far as fewer people paying attention to the election, we are now in an endless cycle of election coverage by all of the MSM. Before the 2020 elections had been called the coverage turned to what the election results meant for the 2024 election. The coverage slid right into the 2024 election the next day. Election coverage means ratings. Pumping up a group with hate of the other party gets eyes on the screen and clicks. Election coverage fatigue has set in. Along with that we have two uninspiring candidates that non foaming at the mouth partisans do not want. Anybody but Trump or Biden, please. But the party partisans have united behind their guys and the moderates and independents are sitting back watching the train wreck.

Main reason is because every election that demoncrats gain any power is one step closer to a socialistic hell. You see elections and who the president was, didn't really matter. The constitution for the most part was right there to protect the citizens. That is until Obama came around and Obamacare. Now the gov has direct control over your very life and your kids lives.

So now every single election is extremely important and literally can mean the difference of life or death for many Americans.

Just as an example, if Biden is re-elected China will for sure invade Taiwan. So its a matter of if anyone votes for Biden is a for sure vote for their own death.

It didn't used to be that way but thank you Obama for turning the presidency and the gov into a hostile occupying force.

Fentanyl is a legitimate Schedule II substances prescribed by doctors.

Fentanyl that is seized by law enforcement is by definition illegal (it was not made by a pharmaceutical company to be prescribed)

So the only way people are coming into contact with this fentanyl is through illegally obtained street drugs (casual contact on money is the exception)

It is common, and always has been, to cut cocaine with laundry detergent, boric acid,

procaine, levamisole. No one is looking to ban these substances. You can't put evil back in Pandora's Box.

Yes, the boarder, particularly the Southern boarder is about national security. But why is illegal fentanyl killing people buying illegal street drugs used as a rallying call?

Expand full comment

That is similar to thoughts I have had on the issue. The vast majority of those who have died of fentanyl have been doing something they shouldn't have been doing in the first place. I feel bad for the parents of kids who have bought a drug only to die because it wasn't what they thought they were buying, but the fact remains that they purposely chose to buy a drug they don't need from an illegitimate source.

Expand full comment

Make our street drugs safe again.

I need someone to explain to me why I should care. I can articulate the reason we need to control our boarder with respect to immigration and national security. I can't include fentanyl in that defense, it just sounds like a liberal argument.

There might be a story here. So far, I've seen no reporting on how the Ibarra brothers were able to get a lease, if they had a lease.

Were the Ibarra brothers on the lease at the apartment where they lived? Were they paying the rent or was a government or non-profit the organization footing the bill? While the Cielo Azulak Apartments at 2085 S Milledge Avenue were built in 1954 and not a top place to live, neither brother seems to have a visible means of support. So how did they get to live there? https://www.redandblack.com/240223-ear-cieloazulyk-01/image_76b614de-d277-11ee-98ac-6bb576ac4827.html https://www.apartmenthomeliving.com/apartment-finder/Cielo-Azulak-Athens-GA-30605-1880083

BUILD BACK NEVER

In a stunning overnight decision, a Federal Judge in Texas blocked Brandon from implementing a piece of the 1.7 trillion build back never bill. While Pelosi may have had the authority to allow proxy voting, she never had the authority to waive the Constitution that requires a physical quorum be present before you can even vote to approve.

At the same time, the Judge blocked a small portion of the Texas suit, because Texas did not have standing to pursue it.

Instead of throwing out the full bill, the judge set up a situation where each and every piece of BBN that touches a State can be litigated individually.

To me, not an attorney, this means that all Republican AG’s can now use this as a precedent when they sue to block portions of BBN that are specific to their states.

To me this means that 1.7 trillion can now come back to the Treasury and reduce our debt.

To me this means that this can be used as a precedent to undo EVERY BILL PELOSI passed since 2020 when she first started flaunting the Constitution.

To me this means that President Trump can immediately eliminate BBN by announcing the Federal Government will NOT defend any decisions in the courts.

It is logical that the Dems will appeal this, but I don't think SCOTUS will take this up this next session, certainly not as an emergency today. They can say that no harm has yet been done by not distributing money that was illegally obtained. They won't be in any hurry so this may become a massive 2024 election plank (but too sophisticated for the low information voter out there).

This may be that loose thread that unravels the sweater.

Biden is in a pickle. If he supports the voters that hate Israel and thus Israeli Jews by proxy, he aliantes many Dems and independent voters. However, this is the primaries. Since there are no candidates that support the terrorist sympathizers, the Dem and left-leaning independents will hold their nose and vote for him.

What is going on in Fulton County is a disgrace, Erick. If Wade and Willis are not removed from this case, it will only set activists off further. Plus it will breathe new life into the 2020 Fulton County election steal discussions. Kemp is playing with fire. Hope he is exerting whatever influence he can exert in this situation because right now GA sadly is looking like a clown show.

There is an evidence thread the Defendants are following that, if proven true, then the Fulton County Prosecutor's entire office will be recused. It looks like Fanny had a secretary, ask her husband, who is an attorney, and who was in the same college frat that Wade's divorce attorney is in, who Wade knew but had not talked to in years, and to ask for a copy of the pending filing that Wade was working on with the Defense, then it was leaked to the press.

People lose their law license over this. People lose their freedom over this. A judge could come to the conclusion that the entire office is corrupt, and it needs to be handed to the State's Legal Oversight committee for disposition.
