Protests
The NYPD cleared an encampment and arrested more than 150 antisemitic protestors on the campus of New York University last night after agitators missed a deadline to clear the area by 4 PM. The protestors - comprised of students and professors - turned violent and hurled objects at police when the encampment began to be cleared.
Context: What started with violent protests at Columbia University has spread to more than a dozen elite institutions across the country. Yale arrested 45 antisemitic protestors early this morning while Harvard has closed a portion of its campus to prevent encampments from popping up. The uproar has caused universities to rethink how they will conduct graduation ceremonies in the coming weeks according to The Wall Street Journal.
Defund: New England Patriots owner Robert Craft announced he was pulling funding from Columbia stating, “I am no longer confident that Columbia University can protect its students and staff and I am not comfortable supporting the university until corrective action is taken.
Context: While some on the left have claimed that student groups associated with the encampments are simply advocating for peace in Gaza, the groups themselves claim otherwise. Students for Justice in Palestine - the primary group of agitators on most college campuses - released the following statement following the terror attacks of October 7th.
Liberation is not an abstract concept. It is not a moment circumscribed to a revolutionary past as it is often characterized. Rather, liberating colonized land is a real process that requires confrontation by any means necessary. In essence, decolonization is a call to action, a commitment to the restoration of Indigenous sovereignty. It calls upon us to engage in meaningful actions that go beyond symbolism and rhetoric. Resistance comes in all forms — armed struggle, general strikes, and popular demonstrations. All of it is legitimate, and all of it is necessary.
Despite the violent actions of protestors, this is how The Washington Post framed the events:

California has too many solar panels:
But now, the state and its grid operator are grappling with a strange reality: There is so much solar on the grid that, on sunny spring days when there’s not as much demand, electricity prices go negative. Gigawatts of solar are “curtailed” — essentially, thrown away.
In response, California has cut back incentives for rooftop solar and slowed the pace of installing panels. But the diminishing economic returns may slow the development of solar in a state that has tried to move to renewable energy. And as other states build more and more solar plants of their own, they may soon face the same problems.

I've searched my Bible Reference book, but I can't find anywhere it says that MSNBC saying something that makes sense is a precursor to the Second Coming. But we've gotta be DANG close
