Border Czar

Former Director of Immigration Enforcement Tom Homan will be President Trump’s “Border Czar” according to a Sunday evening statement.

Homan told Fox News this morning, “I’ve got to go back and help because every morning I get up, every morning I'm pissed off about what this [Biden] administration did to the most secure border in my lifetime. So I'm going to go back and do what I can to fix it.”

Profile: Homan is the border representative who has publically clashed with high-ranking elected Democrats during his time in the first Trump administration. Here are two of the best:

The ‘Extraordinary Price’ Paid In Ukraine

The war between Russia and Ukraine has reached a new level of intensity with each side doubling down on efforts to secure the Kursk region of Ukraine before the end of the year. By all accounts, Russia has new momentum.

Details: Vladimir Putin has deployed 50,000 additional soldiers including more than 10,000 North Koreans to the deadly frontlines of eastern Ukraine. Over the weekend, each side launched their largest drone attack of the war so far sending casualty levels to new records.

Context: The quickening pace of battle comes on the heels of Donald Trump’s repeated claims that he would end the war once he is in power. Despite Russia’s advances, Putin has lost on average 1,500 soldiers per day in the month of October. Russian casualty estimates range from 70,000 to 200,000 depending on the source. Bloomberg currently estimates the war is consuming about 40% of Russia’s GDP which has gravely impacted the domestic economy. Inflation has soared as the supply chain has been decimated with dozens of major companies looking for workers who are on the front lines of battle. The situation is so bad that armed thieves recently broke into a dairy shop to steal butter for their family.
