Hey just so people know, the student loan payments were going to resume on that day anyways so that really isnt a win at all. They were going to resume 60 days after the supreme court issued its decision or 60 days after June 30th, which ever came first.

I have to say the piece on work requirements was convoluted, I had trouble following it.

Why must we debate the work requirements? Why can't we debate the social net programs? Do they all achieve their stated goals? What about the means testing, income is the sole bar?

there are four million able-bodied adults without dependents on food stamps, and three in four don’t work at all. Less than 3% work full-time.

Payments are up, work is down.

You get more of what you insensitive. It isn't work requirements that lead to this, it is indiscriminately handing out money.

If you can find the single mother, taking care of her elderly parents working a crappy job, and you can find the able bodied, single guy, you can discriminate.

Sometimes bad things happen, most times we make our own problems. Decisions have consequences.

And you can't have this debate without recognizing we have a spiritual crisis.

The GOP is doomed. Kari Lake and Trump are who they want at the convention?

As long as David Shafer is chairman of the state GOP organization, it is doomed. He only cares about supporting Trump so it’s no surprise that Kari Lake has been invited to speak. Kemp has had the sense to distance himself from the group.

One reason I like Kemp.

The GA GOP is - those clowns do not represent many conservative or moderate conservatives in GA. I don’t even think Kemp is actively involved with them.
