It’s somewhat abridged today because I’ve been in meetings all morning and Philip is out fishing today. I’ll send it out to everyone because he’s not here to stop me.

Welcome! Joe Biden might not run after all.

Clip of the day:
Emily Kohrs is an unemployed thirty year old in Georgia who did the media rounds yesterday to talk about her time as foreman of the special grand jury in Georgia. She undermined the prosecution’s case and damaged the credibility of the grand jury. It’s only a matter of time before other members excoriate her very vapid performance.
Also, is it normal for a DA office to throw ice cream parties for a grand jury? She said that happened.
Biden?
Joe Biden’s closest advisers have spent months preparing for him to formally announce his reelection campaign. But with the president still not ready to make the plunge, a sense of doubt is creeping into conversations around 2024: What if he decides not to? Biden’s past decisions around seeking the presidency have been protracted, painstaking affairs. This time, he has slipped past his most ambitious timetable, as previously outlined by advisers, to launch in February. Now they are coalescing around April.
The odds are still in his favor and I suspect it is not a reconsideration of him running, but a reconsideration of Kamala Harris as his running mate that is putting this off. They need to assess what fall out might come if they drop her.
Senior Democrats privately worry about Biden’s age and Kamala Harris as a spotlight on his age.
Pence
Mike Pence decided to criticize DeSantis for taking on Disney. It is a bold move from the former Vice President to distinguish himself in that, particularly because so many on the right appreciated DeSantis’s fight. Between Larry Hogan saying conservatives can’t set school policies and Pence saying conservatives cannot fight back against wokes with their elected officials, a lot of conservatives are going to raise eyebrows. I’m already seeing people point out Pence’s capitulation to businesses in Indiana when, as Governor, he caved on the Religious Freedom Restoration Act fight. The evangelicals he is courting are going to remember that, I’m afraid. He probably should move to another topic.
The Adults Fight Back at the New York Times
The wokes at the Times got upset about the Times’ factual coverage of the transgender issue. They claimed it was workplace harassment, etc. Well, the actual reporters at the paper have had enough. There appear to be a few grown ups left and they’ve decided to publish their own letter.
“Your letter appears to suggest a fundamental misunderstanding of our responsibilities as journalists. Regretfully, our own union leadership now seems determined to undermine the ethical and professional protections that we depend on to guard the independence and integrity of our journalism,” the letter says.
I think the old guard has had enough of the radical wokes.

Sadly, Emily Kohrs is the future of our country. If she was elected foreperson, what were the other jurors like?
Pence needs to find another line of work altogether.
