The Trump Pivot
As Donald Trump is set to move one step closer to securing the GOP nomination with a double-digit win tonight in New Hampshire, multiple media outlets are suddenly concerned about his electability.
Axios: Trump's surprise fan club: Why many Dems want him to win big in N.H.
Donald Trump wants a big win in New Hampshire on Tuesday to effectively end the GOP presidential primary. Many Democrats are rooting for the same thing. President Biden's team believes that Trump becoming the presumptive Republican nominee for president would give a much-needed jolt of energy to voters and grassroots donors who don't want to see Trump back in the White House.
Politico: Donald Trump has a big problem ahead
Donald Trump has a problem no matter what happens in New Hampshire on Tuesday night: There’s a whole swath of the Republican electorate and a good chunk of independents who appear firmly committed to not voting for him in November if he becomes the nominee.
Politico: ‘Our System Needs to Be Broken, and He Is the Man to Do It’
For Johnson, Trump had shifted from “being the rebel” to “being a rebel without a cause,” he told me then. But Haley? He called her “a leader.” He called her “more than qualified.” He was “behind her,” he said. “I’m looking for somebody that can bring us together and move us forward,” he said. “If we redo everything in the past, the country’s going to stay in the past, and it’s going to stay divided.” It was his hope, he said, that “she gets more momentum.”

SCOTUS Sides With Biden
The US Supreme Court sided with the Biden administration in allowing US Border Patrol agents to cut through or remove razor wire installed by Texas authorities on the US-Mexico border.
Details: The 5-4 ruling saw Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, and Brett Kavanaugh dissent while Amy Coney Barrett joined the liberals in the majority ruling.
Backstory: Texas Governor Greg Abbott installed razorwire last year when the Biden administration offered little assistance in preventing illegal immigration along the border of Texas and Mexico. As the situation in parts of Central and South America continued to devolve, the border witnessed a record-setting 2.5 million encounters with illegal immigrants. Despite the historic numbers, the Biden administration complained that the razorwire prevented illegal immigrants from being processed who were already at the border.
MUST READ: The Introverts Have Taken Over the US Economy
One other way the pandemic altered America: It has created what might be called the Introvert Economy. The time at home made Americans less fun. 2023 was a year for daytime office holiday parties, after all, and in general Americans are going out less. And odds are it will stick: It is the youngest adults who are going out less, and when they do go out, it is earlier.
Take New York City, known for fashionable restaurants and cosmopolitan diners who don’t dare arrive at their table before 8 o’clock. Since the pandemic, however, 5:30 p.m. is a more popular time for a reservation than 8. And it’s not just New York: Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that, post-pandemic, younger Americans (under the age of 50) are starting their public evening and drinking activities earlier.
Younger people had already been going out earlier, but the data show they are also less likely to drink. Gen Z is shaping up to the most sober generation in US history. Singles are also less likely to approach each other in public, preferring the anonymity and clear social boundaries of online meeting. This means less need to be out.

Two Dozen Israeli Soldiers Killed in Single Deadliest Day of Fighting in Gaza
Twenty-one Israeli soldiers were killed after two buildings rigged to be destroyed by the IDF were struck by a Palestinian rocket with the men inside, bringing the day’s IDF death toll to 24 after three paratroopers were slain hours earlier as fighting intensified in the southern Gazan town of Khan Younis.
Israeli Army Radio reported that the twenty-one soldiers, all of whom were reservists, were operating across the border from the Israeli community of Kissufim in the middle of Gaza, attempting to secure a border zone between the Strip’s northern and southern half.

Market snapshot:
Haley sweeps NH tradition.
Do people not get this?
Trump won Iowa with only 56k votes out of 1million registered voters.
So those 56 thousand get to decide who the GOP nominee is?
That’s ludicrous.
Why don’t we get our chance to choose someone else!!
Trump will lose. And with Desantis out maybe that consolidates Haley’s support.
It’s maddening to believe one state and it’s all done.
