So I am not opposed to hybrids, but there are costs you should keep in mind when you get one. first the replacement battery cost should be researched. My wife and I are looking at getting a minivan. Toyota new battery costs 7500 for the part, Pacifica costs 13500 for the part, that isn't including cost of labor. If you can afford that, put 1 to 2 k away a year for the repair that is going to happen in 6 or 7 years then you are good to go. You get 10 more mile per gallon with hybrid vs non, do you save that much in gas ? Will it pay for itself? these are the questions you should ask. I've always wondered if your in a colder climate during the winter, does the hybrid not give you as much mpg savings as a warm climate? These are the same question you should ask when your looking at a ev as well. We are looking at the Hondas or Kias because they don't have the hybrids incase anyone is wondering.

"The House of Representatives voted to remove Kevin McCarthy as Speaker last night by a 216-210 margin following a motion to vacate filed by Republican Matt Gaetz."

Matt's like a dog that finally caught a car he'd been chasing, and wondering, "What the #$%$ do I do now?"

In Matt's case... fund raise for his gubernatorial campaign.

Texas Warns Illinois to Brace for 25 Buses of Migrants Per Day this Fall

Maryland was ready to use the state police to prevent the Baltimore Colts from leaving.

Can we get the equivalent of the garbage barge and the Illinois blocks entry of the busses? They are forced to wander the interstate highways.

Hay, NBC, I want credit if you make this TV show.

309,700 workers have gone on strike at some point this year...

High interest rates are responsible for more civil unrest and violence than any other factor.

High interest rates are the result of decades of political malfeasance. What we have today is the result of the success of liberal policies.

Hybrids make sense. EVs not so much except for limited distance in climates that don't get too extreme... And then there is the climate change angle... Uhm, climate does change and it is not our fault. The chasing of the carbon demon is insane considering the fact that CO2 is a whopping 0.04% of the atmosphere.

Why would a mediocre male athlete want to compete against other men when they can compete against actual women and win?

And even fewer would want to watch, well, unless they were dressed in full-drag costumes and makeup. maybe.

Great point. We are talking about a bunch of underperforming men. There is a reason highschool sports is not televised. These people are JV of male athletes and like a dude wearing a toupee they are just fooling themselves.

Whenever I hear someone say, 'Don't Panic,' why do I think of Kevin Bacon's ROTC character in Animal House yelling 'Don't panic! All is WELL!' right before he gets trampled by a panicked crowd.

Put another way, "A small handful of (so called) Republicans sided with every House Democrat, providing the majority to oust McCarthy."
