What the Democratic Party doesn’t want to admit is that that Biden’s popularity is lower than Whale Crap .

The selling out of US defense kicked into high gear during Slick Willie’s time and only accelerated from there. Who knows what additional improvements are even possible. These people who’ve sold us all out have made their money, gotten their spawn onto the gravy grain, cashed in, and don’t give a damn.

Some of those companies branched out into high end Corporate Jets which increased their Green Cash.

Why you too can have one for $60 million.

I think it is ridiculous that we spend so much time talking about presidential polls this early. A lot can happen in a year.

public hand-wringing over his chances or the coming threat of Trump... This is a telling statement. The concern is simply about his ability to win, and if Trump is the nominee, a second Trump term.

There is no concern about him winning and what that would mean.

1) continued disastrous domestic policies

2) continued disastrous foreign policies

3) President Harris

Gen Z workers say they should be hired for their ‘personality... They are offended by actual, funny jokes. If you have to tell me how great your vibe is it means you are not as self aware as you think.

Hey, Gen Z: Best you first set up a marketplace where one can buy, sell or swap "vibes". Once you've established a value for your vibes, maybe we'll think about hiring you. What infantile idiots!

On the submarines.

Lets be clear, China is far and away from being of any competition for our current Submarine force. One submarine? Well we have over 100, and 10 that can park 1000 warheads on top of Xi's head in less than 5 minutes.

Second...

"It was the first time noise-reducing technology used on the latest American submarines had been seen on a Chinese submarine."

Yeah, and where did they get that technology. They for sure didn't come up with it on their own.

We have 71 commissioned submarines, 14 boomers. A number of these are not deployable due to maintenance and upgrade. We have one that’s been in the yard since 2017!

Still more than China. If the situation called for it those could be deployed in less than 24 hours. I know things are not good right now with Uncle dementia in charge of the military. But we are still tops on the world as far as military power.

Expand full comment

That’s quite true, but we have world wide commitments and the ChiComs want superiority in WestPac. And some of the current commissioned subs cannot be deployed in any reasonable time, due to being in dry dock with no full crews assigned. If we have 10 years, the AUKUS submarines operated by our friends will be a big help.

As a deluge of negative polls continues to suggest that Biden would lose to Donald Trump if the election were held today...

I only have two things to say to that. 2022 and mail in ballots.

So long as we remember those two factors its easy to see why the admin is not worried at all. Biden won't even have to campaign. Approval matters little just like it didn't matter in the 2022 midterms. All that matters is the votes. And people may not like Biden or even approve of him and are for all intent and purposes appalled by the current state of the nation. They will still vote for him because they don't like Trump. Period. Its stupid, ridiculous and yes its like drinking a bottle of poison as opposed to a glass of water because Trump is holding the water. But that's the facts.

People can say what they want about Nikki or Desantis and them being part of the establishment. who cares! If biden gets re-elected and Dems retake both houses. its all over.

I am not a flag waiver of the republicans, but the reality is, they are still better than any democrat.

I agree the polls look great, but everyone needs to understand the reality is that if Trump is the nominee he loses.

Did you see what happened in Argentina? We don’t need the squishes.

Argentina does not have any mail in ballots. Their voting system is vastly more secure than ours. Thus the win. If voting is legit and secure, conservatism wins every time. When you have unrelenting ability to allow anyone to vote and make it as easy as walking to a mailbox. Then we lose. We need people who are willing to stand in a 3 hour line, in the rain cold, and put up with yelling and harassments. Not people who are so lazy they can't get off the couch to get to a poll and vote.

I think, for the very reasons you gave, that ANY republican may lose, but the others may have a better chance of winning.

A few years ago, our family was blessed to attend Jimmy Carter's Sunday School lesson at his church in Plains. It was such a great experience, complete with a family photo with the Carters. President Carter was sharp and humorous. Whatever one may think of Jimmy Carter's presidency and even post-presidency foreign activism, he did a lot of good though Habitat for Humanity and caused thousands of people from around the world to experience church through his ministry in Plains. The Carters' marriage was a true love story and an example for all of us. May Mrs. Carter rest in peace.

Carter was a much better Governor and Ex president than he ever was as a president. I actually met him in 90's and found him to be soft spoken and well mannered. Most of all Likeable. I think, or hope when his legacy is remembered it is for his Humanitarian causes.
