Venezuela: Always remember that socialism is for the masses, not the socialists. You can vote yourself into socialism, but you have to shoot your way out of it.
Gotta love Pothole Pete with his profound statement that 'Biden looks ten years older because he's older than he was ten years ago'. Gee, ya think? Meanwhile, he casually drops that he and everyone else in his party knew of Biden's issues but no explanation for why nobody said a word until very recently.
The bump Harris is getting reminds me of the old saying that the most popular player on a football team is the backup quarterback. People conveniently forget that they are the second-stringer for a reason when griping about a team's coaching. It usually takes anywhere from a few snaps to a game or two before people remember.
Harris's bump is no surprise, and she'll get one after the Dem convention. But she'll have plenty of other opportunities to throw some rhetorical pick-sixes and remind folks why she washed out so early last time.
“Clearly there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group,” spokeswoman Anne Descamps told reporters. “If people have taken any offense we are, of course, really, really sorry.”
If it was "clear" that no disrespect was intended then no statement to that effect would be necessary. Moreover they are not sorry about what they did, they are sorry you took offense.
Nothing about this statement reflects an ounce of awareness let alone any form of an honest apology.
I heard Erick talking about inflation on the show today. I went grocery shopping over the weekend and bought some Publix Premium ice cream. I could have sworn two weeks ago, a 1/2 gallon was $5.99. This weekend it was $8.55. The eggs I buy went up .40 cents since last week as well. I live in Fulton County close to Atlanta so there may be many variables involved in the prices increases but this is not good. My mother checked the same ice cream where she lives in Paulding County and it was $2 less, though still up most likely from $5.99.
Hi! Former extreme couponer here. Yes, Publix and Target are well known for increasing their prices during BOGO sales. I looked at their ad, and Publix is offering BOGOs on several brands of ice cream. Likely, Publix increased the price on their own offering to match the competitors' pricing, to steer consumers toward the BOGO specials to sell more of it. (Publix likely gets some kind of benefit from the manufacturer's based on increasing their sales this week.)
That does make sense. I’ll keep an eye on it though since I pretty much buy the same things every week. I certainly notice the price increases. The 6 pack of cartons of milk I buy for my daughter’s lunch have increased by $4 ($5.99 to $9.99) in the last year and have stayed there.
So thank you for pointing this out. I went back to buy the same Publix ice cream today and it went back to $6.39 (still .40 cents higher than a month or so ago) but not the $2.55 more during the BOGO period. This is very interesting. I will pay more attention when they do the BOGO deals.
Electric School Buses? How about Biden’s $7.5 billion investment in EV charging stations which has only produced 7 stations in two years. The American public is being fooled: tricked conned misled duped bamboozled deluded deceived hornswoggled outfoxed snowed flimflammed sucked. Where does all that money the taxpayer is laying out go and that includes the "infrastructure" bill. The law authorized $1.2 trillion for transportation and infrastructure - but mostly goes to Green Energy projects and hiring. WHAT DON'T THE VOTERS KNOW AND WHY DOES IT MATTER?
"In the least surprising news of the day, Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro appears to have stolen the impoverished country’s most consequential presidential election in 25 years"
When reached for comment, VP Kamala Harris replied, ' Hold my beer' before launching into a prolonged fit of laughter.
Donald Trump’s six-point lead over Joe Biden has evaporated into a two-point deficit...
3/4 of Americans do not want Trump or Biden, so the party offering a candidate not named Trump or Biden has an advantage. And here we are.
The fact that Harris has clearly demonstrated she is not ready or capable of being an effective competent President is irrelevant to people who vote Democrat.
I figured something like this would happen. Harris is absolutely unfit to lead anything but she is NOT Hillary. At the end of the day everyone who wants to vote for the Not Trump now has a good reason to do so. It doesn’t matter how horrific Harris is.
Anyone who is Christian and conservative better step back and consider that maybe it’s not the smartest thing to create paintings with Jesus on an American flag with a bandage on his right ear. If Harris gets elected, we are going to be laughed right out of the public square. Actually, we already are. Trump isn’t going to save us. We need to wake up and take this seriously.
Polls: I didn't believe the polls when they said Biden was losing. I certainly don't believe them now showing harris only narrowing the gap.
People need to look at history. At this point in 2020 the RCP avg. had Biden up by 7pts in MI, WI and Penn. Nationally he was up by as much as 6. And look what happened in the end?
Here's the truth.
All the hype, media lies, overly advertising Harris, changing her record has done is equate to "tightening" the gap. If I was a dem I wouldn't be encouraged by that news. It just means voters who abandoned Biden came back to vote. It has done nothing to erode or steal votes from Trump that the dems didn't already have.
What they need to do is call all those people they polled before that were voting Trump and see if they somehow changed. If not, then nothing has really "shifted". Also need to call those people who were previously voting Biden and see if they now support Harris, I think you will find a lot more that will simply not vote.
Don't be so sure there is a high enthusiasm for Harris. The Dems still have a lot of demons they have to overcome and they wont be able to shake their lack of support for Israel. Harris missing Netan's speech was absolutely intentional. She has no love for Israel and absolutely adores Hamas.
Will she agree to debate Trump? So far she hasn't. So the dems are banking all their hopes on the convention? This is NOT how elections have occurred in the past ever.
Call me when we get to september or october and harris is leading by a wide margin. Then I might worry. Till then if these polls are saying Tied or slight leads for Trump. Then trump has to feel good about that.
I like it when Republicans are kept on their toes. They should campaign like they are behind and work to try their best. If they get complacent, we have another 2022 incoming.
So by all means, they need to worry and take her seriously.
My concern is the media's bias. They act like this is already over and Harris has this won and in the bag. Its maddening. But I am ok with them thinking that. Makes it all the more better when they lose and we can feast on liberal tears.
The main factor is voter integrity. If it stays close that's not good for Trump because the dems can manufacture votes and nobody will question. But I honestly don't think its as close as being advertised. The poll takers are putting out favorable numbers for Harris but when it gets to Sept, they have to adjust to maintain credibility and when they see her starting to fall further and further out. They will temper it a bit but the reality will begin to set in. So in reality nobody really knows how this will play out and this early optimism by Democrats is sickening but I hope that motivates the Trump campaign to action.
But there is ABSOLUTELY no one explanation of a harris or trump win. It all comes down to October and unfortunately mail in ballots and how much that will affect the vote. The dems won in 2020 because lazy voters could vote from their couch. Black and minorities in the inner cities grabbed a mail in voucher and sent that or dropped it in. Not a proper voting process but that's what happened. Will that happen again?
Not in states like GA and FLA or AZ as voting laws changed so you can't do that. I don't know what the ID laws are in NV. But in Penn WI and MI nothing much has changed from Covid. Doesn't bode well for Republicans but we have to let the process play out.
the Dems outhustle the GOP on get out the vote ground efforts every time. There is nothing they wo.n't do and no place they won't go. I remember a few years back I was reading, in of all things, a notary magazine (I was a notary public at the time) in Pennsylvania and there was an article bragging about how Dem operatives go through hospital floors to make sure every patient votes (I'd love to know how they get in the NICU or ICU but I am sure some Dem nurses are happy to help them). I was sickened by that. I assure you, if I'm ill enough to be hospitalized, the last thing I give a flip about is voting. They should be ashamed of themselves, but the Dems have no shame

All the Repubs need to do to win is somehow get Kamala to travel to Ft Knox and take a ride in a M1 Abrams tank wearing Michael Dukakis helmet.
Maybe tell her they're giving out free gold bars.
I was thinking that the Dems were obviously playing a base-GOTV strategy.
Now, I think the GOP may be doing that, too.
Whoever can seize the middle first will win.
Primary's over, folks, and it's time to not kick own goals with cat-lady comments that are as insulting to the electorate as "basket of deplorables".

I am sure that the elections in Venezuela are just as secure and accurate as ours here. And vice versa.

All of this, makes life seem very bleak. There is only one hope, and that is “In Christ Alone!”
Didn’t the Trump campaign already release some ads against Kamala? I’ve seen them in battleground Georgia. Are they PAC ads?

*Cringe, I haven't seen that yet.
100% Trump is not a savior, no man is.
no kidding but an awful lot of Trump supporters seem to act as though he's the next Messiah.
Im not sure which poll he is sighting. RCP still has trump up by at least 1 in every BG state and almost 2 nationally.
Kamala Harris Touted a $5B Electric School Bus Program. Three Years Later, It's Produced Just 60 Buses....
$83,000,000 and change per, are they Teslas?
Follow the money.

No panic here.
Not panic, definitely, but always good to act like we’re behind. Need to be shenanigan proof.
