Hegseth is a surprise. Is POTUS consulting with Don Jr for these picks? Fox news experience hardly is a qualifier for the intensely complicated, far-reaching relationships and protocol this position requires. It is more than veteran affairs.
I believe Hegseth is more qualified than any of the cross dressing, gender confused DEI hires anywhere in the Biden administration. No doubt he will end the practice of identity over qualifications recruitment in the military. And a committee to review the wokeness of top brass sounds like an excellent idea.
Not a good reason at all to not hire him. The person currently in charge has "experience" and is a disaster. Being smart and not a tool of the establishment beats "experience" every time.
Well, okay. Try that one in a job interview at any level other than the mailroom. Pete seems like a good guy and a smart guy, but the job is just too big for learning on the job.
Ossoff has sent pleas for contributions to Democratic donors claiming that Kemp and Marjorie Taylor Green plan to run against him. I think he’ll be a formidable opponent because he has embraced issues that constituents care about—such as battling the post office. I agree that Republicans need to realize it will be a tough fight in 2028.
Last night I heard an education panel discussing School Choice and how it was the winning event for Hispanics in both Texas and Florida. Its an overwhelming issue for Hispanics.
I was also shocked to hear that the Department of Education was a massive Washington complex, full of government workers who most never went to a public school, and who control schools by sending money with big strings attached. They are there to primarily succumb to lobbyists.
No surprise here but I learned that the average school gets only 9% of their budget from the DofE. A miniscule amount with big strings attached. This is peanuts.
In places like Florida and Texas, where we have surpluses, and where the Governors are deeply invested in education, the states can dump the feds and supplement from state coffers.
The thoughts are that they will shrink DC down to just a caretaker group who block grants that 9% with few strings attached.
Hegseth is a great choice. The guy is about the rank and file through and through. When he was with Concerned Veterans for America he sponsored a series of policy breakfast we held at the Examiner. Top-notch!
Last night I heard a panel discussion amongst left coast university Ply Sci chairs. One of them made the point that when you look all the way back to the New Deal, the Dem’s coalition formed. And for the first 60 years it held strong with Blue Collar workers. But over the past 30+ years it has been eroding and the Dems have been ignoring it. They say it was dying off and that Trump merely was the catalyst back in 2015 that started it unraveling.
Her conclusion was that the New Deal coalition was now substantially gone, and that Dems will have to decide what their “club” looked like going forward.
All this takes time, perhaps a decade or more. This gives me hopes that Trump can prevail in the midterms.
Yes, we need to create another Administration to dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies.... That the Democrats can then abuse when they win.
Sorry, no, the Executive is in charge of the entirety of the executive branch (I was listening yesterday when you read Article 2.) This is Trump's job, he is a lame duck, he can do a lot.
Another agency requires Congress.
Trump can unilateral create a Presidential Commission.

I am so sorry to hear about your dog Maggie. I have 2 from the same litter. I dread the day that will come.
Hegseth for Defense? Gabbard for Intel? Gaetz for AG. The clown car is back in town. Hate to say I told you so, but…
Oh go plant some Southern crops.
Planting season is over.
oh I forgot
The morons currently holding those positions
Are worthless.
Replacing morons with morons. How does that make sense?
Sore loser.
If Trump keeps this up, we will all be sore losers in the mid-terms.
Someone please tell me that Trump didn’t tap Matt Gaetz as attorney general.
They really need to clean house at the CIA among others.
Yes, I really don't like that one. He is a loose cannon. Need someone serious.
Are you surprised? I kind of am. Thought he might pick Rudy. Must have wanted a fellow sex predator.
Joe Biden sure is comfortable sitting with "Hitler", eh?
I'm wondering..... If Donald Trump is Adolf Hitler, does this mean that Joe Biden is Paul von Hindenburg?
Great clip from Pete Hegseth . I think he'll be a refreshing change.
Whoops. Donated before you got the new tracking link. Thank you for focusing on this today. God is GREAT
Campaign $ How much went to Media?

Zero qualifications, other than what you mentioned, which is not a qualification.
Now that is nothing but sour grapes on your part to say that. Go read some of his books and talk to people who know him.
No experience running a large organization. Fact not grapes.
Not a good reason at all to not hire him. The person currently in charge has "experience" and is a disaster. Being smart and not a tool of the establishment beats "experience" every time.

I know. You are wedded to the establishment and hope to return to it. We will never get anywhere but down if we stick to that.
Fox News was the most-watched cable network, until it dropped behind ESPN this month, probably due to football.
MSNPC is #10.
CNN is #18, behind the Hallmark Channel and above Fox Sports.
Top 10:
1) Amazon Prime
2) ESPN
3) NPC
4) See-BS
5) Fox News
6) Paramount
7) Fox Network
8) ABC
9) USA

Ossoff is preparing for his reelection in '26. Since Kemp now doesn't have a clear path to POTUS in '28, he might run against Pajama Boy.
But don't take PJ Boy lightly; he's a great retail politician.
But Kemp and his popularity with independents and moderates might be a good choice for a likely tough midterm for the GOP.
Planned Parenthood is running ads on Hulu AFTER the election blaming Kemp for Georgia's "heartbeat" law, so they know the score.

Kemp will crush MTG. Kemp has his own shadow GOP.
It as we saw. Blaming abortion won’t work. So let Jon O. Champion abortion.
IMO other than walker. Anyone running against Osoff will win. He got swept in in 2020 under a dem wave of change.
Not going to happen this time. Georgia has had enough of Dems nonsense.

Which one is that trans woman general I keep seeing. That needs to be the first to go. Any general appointed by Obama needs to be shown the door.
She is a cross dresser. My husband can cross dress better than her.

He’s in the Public Health Service, who are uniformed and subject to deployment in time of war, I believe. NOAA is also uniformed.

Department of Government Efficiency...
Yes, we need to create another Administration to dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies.... That the Democrats can then abuse when they win.

It’s not an official entity
So MAGA
How efficiency
Bureaucracy scare
Very money
Wow
Maybe they will start with the Simpson/Bowles study from decades ago that we paid for then promptly ignored because "it was too hard to do".
He's already said this dept. will expire on 7/4/26.
