Regarding the cost of shooting down those Iranian drones etc...We act like, no big deal. It is an expensive deal, and what if a few of those systems glitched or jets malfunctioned? Massive destruction in Israel.

MTG wants Johnson out of the speakership. I tend to disagree. BUT. Johnson has been a guest on Fox several times lately, and a few days ago I heard him with my own ears promise that there will be 4 separate bills coming up for funding Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan and US border issues. I don’t need to tell you why it’s so important for the trash in Congress to vote for these bills separately. It has now becoming common knowledge that Johnson plans to consolidate the bills and bring the super bill to a vote late Saturday night (so as to minimize our scrutiny). These filthy cretins have been hell bent to send billions of OUR WAGES, CONFISCATED FROM US, to Ukraine. They absolutely will not stop until they have rammed this down the throats of the people who they took the money from - US. This is an OUTRAGE. You give me one good reason to support Johnson as speaker or to support the Republican Party. I dare you! I challenge you! THIS IS OUR MONEY! Tell me why this S**t is acceptable to We The People. (Call your Congresspeople)!!

Kudos to Uri Berliner. I watched that TED video with rising bile in my gut that made me want to puke (sorry for the crude term for Vomit). She is one confused lady and needs to be leading some self help goup. She isn't woke she is blind to reality.

I would think I have some expertise in missile defense. First, I have a masters in Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University. Second, I worked the US Army missile command in the warhead and fuse branch of the structures division of McMorrow Labs. Third, I worked at Marshall Space Flight center in the Design and Assembly engineering branch on Space Shuttle pyrotechnics systems and various failure investigation teams.

Star Wars (SDI) was always treated as a fantasy by the liberals opposed to President Reagan. Why? Because it challenged their narrative of the world. That the US being a Super power was wrong and that a multilateral world was preferable.

Aside from the technical issue of developing the technology to reliably destroy an enemy's missile systems, the overriding issue is the role of deterrence in setting international relationships. Or better yet imposing accountability to individuals or countries violating social norms. IN the old days, if you stole a horse, you were hung. Today, if you steal a car, you face minimal consequences. If you are Iran and you foment terrorism around the Mideast, you are still allowed to sell oil and get billions of dollars from the US government. This is not deterrence. So, the ability of the military to step in and defeat the Iranian threat depends on weapon systems.

Weapon systems become more complex as capabilities rise. At USMICOM we talked about Lethality--the probability I will defeat an enemy (in this specific case a ballistic missile). Hitting a fast-moving ballistic missile is difficult. It took time to put all the pieces together. Now we have a proven platform to defeat multiple threats from the SM3, SM6, GBI, etc. No one should be surprised this is true or that we could not develop the tech. Sadly, liberals when in office (Clinton, Obama, and Biden) reduced investments in these technologies and thus delayed their role out.

But clearly, the SM3 system will be integrated into many of the Western powers' militaries. Korea, Japan, and Australia will integrate the system on their destroyers. Japan will add it to their ground based defense systems. Poland and Romania have them integrated into their land-based systems. IN short, the US can and will be the arsenal of liberty to many of our allies because no administration will deny the sale of the systems to our trusted allies faced with the military threat of Russia, China North Korea and Iran.

But at the end of the day, if we just developed our oil in North America (the US and Canada) we could easily deny Iran the ability to sell any oil or export any natural gas. That is the simplest deterrence. Dont let our enemies enrich themselves at our expense.

I have no idea if Biden’s story about “Uncle Bosi” is true, but such things absolutely did happen. If President Bush had been captured rather than rescued by submarine after his TBM was shot down, the Japanese on those islands did engage in ritual cannibalism. Read “Flyboys”.

"Our reverence for the truth might be a distraction that’s getting in the way of finding common ground and getting things done."...

You troglodytes just need to recognize our version of the truth based on our feelings and our subjective reading of the tea leaves that our agenda is on the right side of history, so just STFU and do the things we want done.

2022 Hunga Tonga–Hunga Haʻapai eruption.

My brother like in Salt Lake City. In 2022 the eco freaks were saying the Great Salt Lake will disappear. The winter of 22/23 snowfall was so wet and heavy it collapsed roofs. The lake is approaching 2018-2020 levels.

Of Gov. Newsom in California, the citizens elected this guy, then they re elected him. They knew what he was like and the knew his policies. He still supports California's massive boondoggle in the high speed rail going from nowhere and ending in the middle of nowhere. If he helps drive California's economy into the ground then so be it. The fear is that he is positioning himself to be the Democrats nominee should Biden drop out or for election 2028. He will bring his economy killing policies to the national level and Democrats will fall all over themselves to vote for him. Nothing drives the Democrats more than killing an economy with burdensome regulations except their hatred of Trump.

To Katherine Maher: I can certainly understand that your vapid ideas arise from where you come from and how you feel that people perceive you, but what basis do you have for calling that “truth”? To quote the famous philosopher Inigo Montoya, “I don’t think that word means what you think it means.”

As NPR is undeniably over-the-top biased, it’s incredible anyone’s tax dollars support them. Love to have Jim Jordan dispose the CEO in front of congress, while we still have control in the house.

And, to that end, anyone have any ideas of getting MTG to be a team player? It’s beyond me that the current situation needs to be explained to her. I believe even Trump has told her to stand down.
