Jim Jordan is not fit to be Speaker of the House. I cannot imagine why you would put your support behind him.

I am finished with Republicans. They have joined the Democrats on the road to insanity. We can thank constant news and X, Twitter, to help outing the insanity which would not have been covered years ago. Whether they were insane before or the insanity got worse is irrelevant. They are insane now and I am done with them. Neither side is giving reason to vote for them. You will either get crazy or, if the other side wins, you get crazier. You can choose which side is crazier than the other.

I have never been so astonished by you than I am by this column. Jim Jordan's picture should be in the political dictionary under Trump's lying quislings, and you want him as the face of conservativism? Within the last month Jordan started off a hearing on corruption with the whopper that Trump was cooperating fully with the authorities when the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago. We have good men like Tom Cole that could help the party heal, and you want to dump gas on the fire by promoting Jordan????

I have to agree with you. I think Jim Jordan will continue to lie and would crawl across glass for Trump. I totally believe he is a Trump puppet and will do what Trump tells him to do.

I hate what the 8, especially Gaetz and Mace did. But now the conference should meet, air concerns, state their cases for their choice, and vote. THEN UNITE behind the conference winner. Vote in unity for that person on the floor. I'm concerned that like the Gaetz, there are Republicans willing to dance with the devil to get their way because they're pissed off out someone.

There's a lot of flack on X about Jordon. Appreciated you stating you support him . Thank you. Now let's pray God will guide them.

Either you are a republican or not. Stop with the I want McCarthy back whining. Let Jordon win and let's get on to the reason you were elected by YOUR republican voters.

"Third... They care about their districts. They like to see themselves as independent voices, even though they really are not. By defying an organized pressure campaign to back Jordan, many of them think they’ll actually help themselves."

"Fourth, some members of the House GOP are simply refusing to vote for Jordan because they think it will reward Matt Gaetz. These folks would rather side with Democrats than stand in solidarity with Republicans."

These Republican Reps and their like cohort of Republican voters are the problem within the Republican party. THEY are why everything within the GOP is unsettled. Carpetbaggers and self-servicing charlatans. The Democrats are filled with them too, but at least the Democrat know how to come together in solidarity for a party winning strategy.

My oh my wasn't the Pandemic fortuitous for the Democrats!? The four or five million votes harvested from the cheat-enabling mistake of mass mail-in ballots has resulted in a level of national and world destruction that Republicans cannot get their heads out of their asses to even leverage to get back to power. Democrats are like political lottery winners having caused chaos within the losers so they can keep up their deconstruction of everything good and stable.

Jordan is a man to start building again to a shared vision of what Republican needs to be these days in the face of this broken immoral collectivist authoritarian regime Democrats are pushing.

Maybe a Jordan commitment To support the expulsion of Matt Gaetz from the Republican caucus would be enough to satisfy that concern. It's certainly well earned.

This weekend there was a public IQ test for our elected Republican representatives, and they all FLUNKED it.

The House Problem Solvers group was complicit in ousting McCarthy. Republican members faked outrage while saying they might quit, but then deafening silence.

The House Dems sent a written offer to the Speaker Pro Tem to effectively share power. He failed to immediately and publicly throw the letter back in their faces.

In Texas we have a saying. All hat and no cattle.

I truly hope the Speaker’s Seat sits idle for the next year. It keeps the House from bringing any bills to the floor for debate. It keeps Schumer from getting anything meaningful done. I am ecstatic that there will be a prolonged government shut down starting mid-November. Who’d uv thunk that Matt Gaetz would make my wishes come true.

Cheers

The GOP: It's a sad joke, stuffed inside a Schitt-show, wrapped up in Kabuki Theater..

How long has this been going now!? it is disgusting to watch as our GOP leaders act like a bunch of self absorbed, desperate, immature, reckless career politicians while one of the most significant events of our time is happening before our eyes. This party continues to let me down over and over again. Sickening. Grow up and get it done already!

I would, personally, like Jim Jordan as Speaker. That said, if he cannot get enough votes, consider the following:

There's been talk of Trump running for speaker. If that is possible, legal, and si in, why not consider Tim Scott, Nikki Haley, or other outside of Congress???

Some of those swing district Republicans that want to side with the Democrats for a speaker might want to remember they are a swing district if your going to go with the Dems they might as well vote for a Democrat the next election

The legacy media rerunning their old JIm Jordan attacks which failed the first time, shows their panic. They are so damn transparent. I only wonder, we’re they ever not transparent? Why then, did it takes so long to reveal their duplicity?

I know this is important. And I’m happy for Jim Jordan. But honestly with what’s happening in Israel. Just pick someone and move on. Got bigger issues to deal with here.

Exactly! I was so aggravated with the timing of Gaetz pulling this stunt with McCarthy! Now??

REALLY?? How bitterly ironic that these MORONS call themselves "public servants!"
