The Sunday Sermon: Calm Down
The left and the right in this country are spiritually broken. Instead of putting their hope in God, they put their hope in politics. Proof of this came earlier this week when the FBI raided Donald Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago. Many of my Republican friends bemoaned that this was the beginning of the end for our country. The same people that cheered on the FBI raid of Trump’s house were in despair that our country was over when Trump was elected in 2016. These people on the left and the right have made politics their god and live in despair when their gods fail them. Take a moment and listen:
I know you've had people tell you you are a worthy successor to Rush. You're not. You're better. Why? You regularly let us know your humanity, thus exhibiting your humility (without being proud about it. I'm actually listening to this while reviewing my Sunday sermon which I will present in a few minutes. Just... thank you Erick.
If I remember correctly, John Adams wrote that “this Constitution was made for a moral and religious people and is wholly inadequate to any other.” The problems facing America today cannot be solved by conservative politics only, and definitely not by progressive politics which is largely devoid of belief in God. Unfortunately, I see the same thing in conservative circles. Too many hang their hats on voting integrity or conservative policies. Too many are without God. Their posts are as vile as any progressive post. It is time for conservatives to put their trust in God and not in men only.
