Yes, America and the planet are now here. (All things become terminable except faith and belief in Christ). Best prepare accordingly. 2 Timothy 3:1-5
(1) But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: (2) For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, (3) unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, (4) traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, (5) having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
I could not agree more with you Gerald. I am NOT in despair as I also have been doing a lot of reading in the Bible that is telling us about these times and the best one's are Rev:6 and the opening of the 6 SEALS.
Through the last 80+ years, I have seen several people that have lead people to join groups that believed the end was coming. But they did NOT have all the scripture that we have today to back it up. Much of the Bible tells us that we are getting closer and I may even live to see that I go straight up without going down a few feet first.
Blessings to you Mr. Bailey and all the readers that Folllow Erick.
If I remember correctly, John Adams wrote that “this Constitution was made for a moral and religious people and is wholly inadequate to any other.” The problems facing America today cannot be solved by conservative politics only, and definitely not by progressive politics which is largely devoid of belief in God. Unfortunately, I see the same thing in conservative circles. Too many hang their hats on voting integrity or conservative policies. Too many are without God. Their posts are as vile as any progressive post. It is time for conservatives to put their trust in God and not in men only.
Amen, Dan. Have you noticed the name-calling by some toward those who do not hold exactly the same beliefs? Ephesians 4:29 reads, "Let no unwholesome word proceed out of your mouth, only that which builds up and edifies."
Have you noticed what seems to me to be deep-seated anger that some have, even among those professing Christianity?
Have you noticed the moral equivalency, asserting that if a predecessor did it, it is then OK if I do it? I was raised, "Two wrongs do not make a right."
I pray that I am never guilty of the above. Only a deep-abiding love of God through Christ keeps me sane in thee tumultuous times.
Donna, in answer to your questions above: yes, yes, and yes. The use of name-calling and foul language is as pervasive among many conservatives as it is among the generally Godless left.
Deep-seated anger is also a problem. Anger can lead to hatred. Christians cannot hate anyone but, rather, must pray for them.
I am not a fan of "do unto them as they do unto you." I cannot follow such an un-Christian path.
I have to admit there are times I have to check myself. Overall, though, I don't want to be a Christian who is a foul-mouthed, name-calling, angry, and vengeful person. That is very poor witness. People notice. I, like you, have learned to gain peace through prayer and scripture. I can sleep much better when I know that my relationship with Christ is intact.
I think that anger is stoked when a person watches only those shows or listens to the radio programs that are an echo chamber of what the person already believes. Since each cable news channel presents the facts that support its philosophy, listeners are not exposed to what they are not being told.
Case in point are the January 6 committee hearings which anyone can watch on YouTube. I watch them because I don't want someone else to tell me what occurred. I like to draw my own conclusions, not let someone cherry-pick what he/she wants me to know.
I know you've had people tell you you are a worthy successor to Rush. You're not. You're better. Why? You regularly let us know your humanity, thus exhibiting your humility (without being proud about it. I'm actually listening to this while reviewing my Sunday sermon which I will present in a few minutes. Just... thank you Erick.
Great message, I whole heartedly agree
keep sending this old man the Sunday sermons
Thank you. An excellent message.
Thank you. That was so helpful and calming.
Just for 'fun'...
I heard it on the newscast…
‘Bout a massive “climate change”.
Seems we fell from common sense, sir,
Down to totally deranged.
Yes, there’s madness on the Left side,
There’s distemper on the Right.
Fools R Us keep casting ballots,
Now we’re stuck here with this blight.
Yes, we’ve redefined The Basics…
Now the lost all claim they’re found.
In the meantime, trouble’s brewing
In this cauldron stirred by clowns.
Golden Calves are all a-chuckle,
Mr. Screwtape’s on a roll.
Yes, The Good Book’s left unopened,
Earthly passions?...Uncontrolled.
It’s the mess the West has stepped in…
And the blind applaud the fraud.
Let’s just call it “Pilate Error”
Now that we’ve become “like God”.

New King James Version
Careful, the Democrats might use this in a 2024 campaign commercial.

Sometimes we need a jolt to regain a clear perspective. Thanks Erick.

As we lose our focus on the only true Unifier, God though Jesus Christ, we expedite our evolution into “tribal” factions!
Thank You!
