If they don’t address the only two people who were killed by police officers during the so-called insurrection, Ashley Babbitt and Rosanne Boyland, both unarmed women it’s nothing but Theater of the absurd. the Oscar winner is ?

Erick, I'll defer to you as an attorney, but if this were an actual trial, wouldn't most of what she testified to ("Someone told me that..." ) be inadmissable as hearsay?

A very "compelling" analysis. Well reasoned and logical. As always, you're like Charlie Brown when he questioned Lucy at here "Psychological Advice 5 cents." Charlie Brown came up and began questioning Lucy, so she slugged him. When she went home, her brother Linus asked, "Why did you hit him?" She replied, "He started to make sense." I'm seeing a parallel here.....!

I am beyond ready to move on from Trump. His policies were good for the country, but his personality is not. He can take McCarthy and McConnell with him. the GOP needs fresh leadership.

EXPLOSIVE and SENSATIONAL NEW NEWS...we have heard it all before. Adam Schiff has repeatedly lied and created headlines that proved false. Now we get an "insider" to repeat hearsay evidence to disqualify President Trump in the eyes of the public. I am not buying it, and neither should any of us. This does not mean I am a Trump Sycophant. I am not...I would prefer Ron DeSantis to run and Trump to endorse him. All of this Show trial is just Democratic Theatre of the Absurd. When the Secret Service discounts the story, and the originator of the hearsay says it never happened, it should put it to rest in fair-minded people, but the Trump Haters and the Democrat machine will not let it go. Like the 2020 Election...let it go and move to 2022.

Two GOP members - Banks and Jordan - were removed by Pelosi. The hearings will only strengthen Trump and the GOP.

I thought the Republican members of the House, selected to be on this committee, were rejected by the Speaker. So how does that make the GOP at fault. It’s clear enough this is nothing more than a stage show designed to smear Trump. I listened to Hutchinson performance yesterday and wondered what her own private motivation was for allowing herself to be used in that way. Still, I hope Trump stays off the ballot in November. It’s time for new leadership. He’s done.

Incorrect. I am sure Eric has the specific list.

Multiple Republicans were invited and declined. The Republicans made a dog and pony show of it, but the reality, the truth is this could have been a bipartisan committee. They declined for exactly that reason, and they didn't what to look like Mitt Romney in the impeachment.

I agree. I read that it was Pelosi that kept any pro-Trump Republicans off the committee.

Aside from disputes about whether Hutchinson got certain things wrong, have any of the witnesses actually been discredited? Have any elected Republicans, or any right-wing pundits, even tried? GOP/Trump partisans complain that the committee is one-sided, but they're free to tell their own versions of what happened, with their own voluntary witnesses and documentation. Surely, they can do better than "just asking questions" Tucker Carlson or "phone pings are better than video evidence" Dinesh D'Souza.

Politely disagree; I think there are plenty of people who will believe whatever is thrown out there for consumption. But also agree that it fundamentally isn't working with the majority of the American people. What is sad is that testimony like yesterday regarding the limo will be taken as fact; and we all know the MS Media will make no effort to get the other side of this out.

I'm not a big fan of the Former President; but also recognize that this is nothing but attempted character assassination, while trying to attach the GOP to it. It might have a little sway, but not enough to even slow down whaat is coming in November.

While November is only a few months away; these hearings will be old new by then, while the economy begins to show true signs of slowing, and prices stay up. Add to it, a President that clearly has cognitive issues that his staff finds more and more difficult to hide.

Miss Hutchinson was a Hail-Mary. Nothing more - nothing less. Did they move the ball down the field yesterday. Yep; all the way down to the 20, maybe the 10. Problem is that the score is about 45-0 in favor of the Republicans. So even if they score, the game is already over.

When you stated "to get the other side of this out", that is so true and we just saw this happen when the Senate Sargent of Arms gave notice that he was having health problems, yet the demorats running the show would NOT reschedule to ask him questions that would give us the truth because they do NOT want the truth. Now he has passed away at the age of 71. They knew he would give the Republicans another 45 points and they did NOT want that.

Blessings to you Ran

This sham tribunal kangaroo court was created and is controlled by pelosi; it’s all lies and disinformation. Satan is the king of lies and she’s his queen. Evil to the core.

Are we forgetting that there were republicans appointed to the "commission" and Pelosi refused to allow them? She then picked people from the republican party who, for whatever reasons, suffered a blind hatred for Trump and were willing to lie, cheat and steal to attack him? This committee is about a legitimate as Bidens border policy. In every instance, one of them lies and another swears to it.

No one believes these hearings whether they are true are not. Dems have lost their credibility. This is a witch hunt and quite frankly a waist of my tax money. Only reason this is news is because you give it attention.

I wonder if party leaders (inside and outside of Congress) allowing the House Committee to grandstand on the Jan 6 issue unopposed was a deliberate action to marginalize Trump? Eroding his support among moderate Republicans/Independents voters might help keep him out of the 2024 election.

It will not surprise me a bit if this is a concerted effort involving Dems and establishment Republicans behind the scenes to weaken Trump's appeal prior to 2024. What these people and the media, and pundits still do not understand is that this circus trial actually angers people and increases Trump's support. Trump begins to be seen as a victim. People get mad that tax dollars and time are being spent on this freak show instead of helping the American people with food, gas, inflation, border security etc. Things the people care about that will actually impact lives.

I knew someone would think this, it crossed my mind for a second at the end. But the reality is this not elaborate 4D chess, a conspiracy by visionary Republican politicians who just knew if they let the Democrats trip over themselves Trump would come out of this still on top.

Republicans were invited and declined, lest they make the committee look bipartisan and they look like Mitt Romney in the impeachment.

This is what Trump wanted. A partisan committee that everyone would see as partisan, because he thought that would benefit him.

The results are a coincidence, and frankly a happy one. Trump is seen for the egotistic fool that he is; a jackhammer with no sense of nuance, rather than as Barman, an altruistic brawler who fights for conservatives.

Disclaimer: I voted for him twice, liked his policies, and would gladly him now over Biden. But he lost.

I see the committee as kangaroo court, only interested in the facts of what happened to further a fantastic narrative they believe only by faith, that is our 244 year democracy (republic actually) almost fell.

The first impeachment was a Democrat campaign promise, the second a one up on Republicans and a preemptive attempt to prevent him from winning in 2020. It was impeachment as a campaign tactic.

They now want to go further down the road of weaponizing impeachment. It's no longer good enough to win elections, no, we must punish the opposition, destroy them.

Trump is a doomsday warning. He is happy to use the left's tactics. I despise him for it. Call out the left now for the Row v. Wade violence and the response is, well Jan 6.
