Whether you care about it or not, the protest by a convoy of truckers in Canada is a really big deal. Thousands of trucks have shut down major roads in various Canadian provinces over vaccine mandates. 80% - 90% of truckers have been vaccinated yet the government is on the verge of firing the remainder of those who have not received both doses of the vaccine.
I care a lot about the trucker protest. I support it. And I think this might be where we get to see just how far the Canadian government, then ours, will go. If they are threatening to abduct the kids of truckers, and having the police accost 78 year old great grandfathers and twist their arms behind their backs for honking in support of the truckers, then we are kind of in a place where no one who opposes the tyrant is safe. There are indications that we have a trucker protest in makes in this country, and I support that too. Then we will get to see just how far this administration will go. Since we are already called domestic terrorists if we OPPOSE THE POSITIONS SET FORTH BY THIS ADMINISTRATION, what will we be if we join a trucker protest?
So -- what happens if the truckers do exactly what Ottawa is asking and leave? And then refuse to accept assignments to deliver to cities such as Ottawa, Quebec, Toronto, Vancouver . . . surely it would be nicer to stay home with your family than sit on a cold Ottawa street? Those cities would be facing shortages VERY quickly in terms of food, etc.
These "threats to democracy" are actually a threat to the way of life / governance to which the Leftist believe themselves entitled.
