As I watch VP Harris cast tie breaking senate votes, I think that we should still have 2 Georgia republican senators along with the GOP having the majority in the senate. I mostly blame Trump & Shafer for contributing to our losing those 2 seats. I think that Kelly Loeffler would be an excellent choice to lead the Georgia Republican Party.

There's an exchange in Tom Clancy's "Executive Orders" where new President Jack Ryan asks the Pirince of Wales, "What do you call it when someone lies straight to your face?"

The Prince replies, "Politics."

Dozen of Dems from Schumer to Manchin have flat-out lied to the faces of Americans over the this recently-passed assault on the middle class.

Funny how Dems have no problems intentionally mis-naming legislation - from "Don't Say Gay" (which the law does not do) to the "Inflation Reduction Act" - which doesn't reduce inflation at all.

But the Republicans (and their cohorts in the legacy media) let them get away with it.

I have said to several Republican state and federal candidates that Shfer must go. They all quickly agreed. Then again, they're politicians (or desire to be). Cynicism is easy to fall into in politics. Interestingly, the Greek root means "dogs." The Greeks didn't really like dogs either.....

Are the Republicans still the stupid party? I always vote weather it looks like a win or a loss. I now have to vote absentee because I am the care giver for my wife. She has dementia, that is one less vote. When I cane to Ga. it was a blue state. Democrats ruled. I still registered Republican. I voted for Romney and John McCain. I had to hold my nose but it is not the first time I have had to do that to accomplish a goal.

I voted for Donald Trump, that turned out better than I thought it would. All you folks who are busy being offended by words put on your big boy pants and vote for someone who can get the job done!

Amen, Erick....I blame Trump and his sheep-like followers for giving the Senate to the Democrats. It still makes me ashamed to be a Georgian.....

It's not looking like the predicted "red-wave" will be AS RED as some have predicted. The incredible mechanization of the left's propaganda messages will, I'm sad to predict, convince some of the undecided electorate that things are okay with these people in office. Chuck U. Schumer was giddy as he talked about how this legislation will, "Change America." It was almost like his comments prior to the lost senate races, "First we take Georgia then we transform America!" Well, this is his transformation. It is horrible what they're doing to this once great nation of ours. One more thing, shame, shame, shame on Manchin and Sinema. They both had their chance to defend the middle class and threw it away.

"And if we are honest, we should note that Democrats would not have been able to pass this had Republican leaders like Donald Trump and David Shafer in Georgia not convinced several hundred thousand Republicans to stay home instead of voting in a primary."

This single example (of many) of galactic bad judgement is why DONALD TRUMP MUST GO

I received an email early morning on Jan 5, 2021, to not vote because it is a sham. I thought how stupid and is this a Democrat trick? Nope - jokes on all R’s who didn’t show up.

Regardless what the MSM says, we know the pain the new law will cause. Americans and George H did in 1992 and millennials, Gen Zs and Biden will in 2024. Thanks Donald!! Just paves the way for DeSantis.

If the GOP takes back the house and senate then hopefully the GOP will have the testicular fortitude to reverse some of this. And as for Shafer, he needs to go!

There are a lot of names this bill can be called. If you are naming the bill based on the cause and effect of a political action or inaction the "FBI-MSM-Hunter Biden" bill will work. There is a good chance Trump would have won if not for the coordination of the FBI, MSM, re suppression of Hunter Biden evidence. The list can go on and on. The bottom line is that if Trump had won, GA would have 2 republican senators and Jan 6 would not have happened.

Excellent, shows who the real "RINOS" are; the ones who gave the Senate to the Dems in 2020 and could quite possibly do it again this year.

As always you are so right on. Don’t expect Fox or Newsmax to call the passed legislation the “Trump-Inflation Act”, from their “pundits “ or otherwise. The Trump genius was so in play, that the GOP lost not one but two Senate seats in Georgia. And folks are counting on his endorsed Walker to win this fall. Can only hope in spite of Trump that there is a red wave to ensure some sort of common sense in Congress. Thank you for your comments.

State legislative leadership is 100% institutional politician. Had the winds not blown as they had, many would still be democrat. They are about themselves and their power in spite of all else at the end of the day. That's the only thing that can explain why things like school choice that hand power back to the people are consistently impeded.

Sadly, Trump also has shown repeatedly since the election that this is about him and his vanity over the country. There is no potential for better policy that is going to erase that. Those who held their nose in 2016 in fear of Empress Hillary, were very surprised at what then transpired, and voted again more confidently in 2020, have seen what the chickens they first feared come home to roost. It's time to stop looking back to re-litigate the past and move on.

So now both sides have had their "Stolen election" seasons. Even as the Democrats suffer from amnesia of the 2016 aftermath. Hopefully some reasonable people will emerge if we can get some sanity after 2024 to address future nonsense, but that's a pipe dream.
