The new word for Wokespeak is "Educanto". Saw that on National Review comments.

I bet Latine was invented by some gringa, just like the muy norteamericano Latinx.

We can kill this one. Just start a viral meme in social media that claims that their new term is easily mistaken as "Latrine".

You think this is a joke? Not really, this is how we need to play the game against them. The reason they come up with these stupid labels other than their corrupt campus professor-injected Maoist strategy to cause cultural chaos in the existing system so that they can implement their collectivist nightmare, is that it provides them social status. These are the children of upper class coastal and big city families where modern paths to exceed the accomplishments of their parents are in short supply. They invent upper class decorum rules that are like a cult so that they can carve out their own feeling of smug superiority over what they considered the cult-ignorant masses. The only way to combat that is to:

1. Embarrass and humiliate them with every new adopted cult practice.

2. Keep them from winning any political office.

Otherwise we will keep sinking into the latrine.

Yes, enjoy the freedoms our Country offers, like those found nowhere else on Earth, but while you’re here, speak and think exactly as we say. Because we and everyone who looks like us know what’s best for you. And your children.

How stupid are they!! (rhetorical question) We Hispanics prefer to be called Americans not Latine, Latinx, Latino. When will race politics stop, both Dems and Republicans.

It won’t stop simply because it works.

Both sides have their "polispeak" vocabulary which signals what side of any issue writers or speakers find themselves. For instance on social media I have been called a libtard and communist by knee-jerk Magaites.

Think you just did what you described. Were you trying for ironic humor?

Exactly!!

When swords are drawn, there's little place for irony, parody and satire.

Disagree. What about Inigo Montaya and young Wesley?

No humor needed when it comes to questioning MAGA. I've seen essays written about why Christians must not question Trump and worship him as our political savior. And I've been called a Democratic Leftist with TDS who is nothing but a coward for pointing out any of Trump's faults, Because Must Take Back The Presidency. "No enemies to the right" is the policy I guess. I am almost exactly the opposite of what I get branded as but online fights in comments don't account for that.

Ok, sure, but Bob talked about political vocabulary, as if it's a divisive thing, and then proceeds to use 'Magaites' to describe those who deride him. Either step away from the practice or be part of it and maybe not condemn those who do the same thing. 'Libtards' is usually used by those who don't have much in the way of substance to offer. But Magaites and Libtards is about on the same plane. And, humor is incredibly useful when there is truth behind it.

Don't quite agree. First halves of libtard and Magaite are taken from accepted names of political POV's. However, the suffix of libtard has a negative judgmental connotation whereas the suffix of Magaite does not. The important thing is to be able to interlocute in such a way that we are not attacking the person but rather discussing the ideas and principles in a positive way (I don't mean necessarily agreeing with them.)

Erick,

Sounds Like A Lenny Bruce StandUp Comedy from the 60's. Perhaps they have forgotten why that comedian made so much fun at calling every race and gender by every slur know at the time. I guess they don't realize they are at the receiving end of the joke.

However I prefer to stop calling people names...it demeans the one calling them names...and just say

the Walmart Race Car loving Gun Carrying deplorables will be laughing as we vote.

Yes, some on the left do silly word games in the name of wokeness that is both comical and annoying to me.

However I have to admit this is a trivial, bs-y, rile up the base type of nonsense topic that I am disappointed to see you cover in the wake of the absolute sh_t show of our two most powerful republican leaders embarrassing themselves today in an attempt to undermine faith in our elections and by extension our democracy. MTG tries to remove Johnson, so Johnson runs to Mar A Lago to curry favor with Trump by stroking his ego (and who knows what else) with another spectacle to in part imply that Trump didn't actually lose in 2020 and further undermining the gullible Right's faith in democracy.

The Left's silly word play game annoys me, the Right's leg humping of Trump at the peril of our democracy does deeply troubles me

You loose any points by using “ curry favor with Trump by stroking his ego (and who knows what else)” you could have skipped post and just stated you hate Trump. Very uncalled for comment.

Strange that you seem to be so put-off by a slightly off color joke I used to illustrate a point, yet you are probably about to enthusiastically vote for President P_ssy Grabber.

Also - I don't hate Trump. I'm sure he would be a blast to pay a round of golf with or join at the strip club. I hate his illegal behavior in attempting to overthrow democracy and the fact that he has turned the GOP into a cult of his personality.

Where in there did I say I would enthusiastically vote for him? Your off color "joke" sounds like something Trump would say. Again, uncalled for "President P_ssy Grabber" Yes your hate is obvious via your comments and descriptive text. I have been in Law enforcement/judicial system for many years and there are many questions about what has actually occurred, how things were handled, etc. but there are two things, you are innocent until proven guilty and your right to a fair & impartial legal system. These days those things are in short supply.

Expand full comment

Regarding Trump those things are not in short supply. You are innocent until proven guilty in the eyes of the law (which Trump is) not in my eyes though having reviewed the evidence.

The legal system is fair and impartial. The reason Trump is being prosecuted is because he committed crimes, not because he is some woe is me crybaby biggest victim of all time. Even the NY case which is mostly BS in my opinion doesn't really get Trump much sympathy in my book. If you dont want to be prosecuted for falsifying records then (Don't cheat on your wife with a pornstar, pay her to keep quite, and falsify the nature of the payments - seriously cry me a river)

Regarding his many other crimes, for just a sliver of the criminality just listen to this recording made by the repub secretary of state in GA who recorded this because he knew in advance that Trump was crazy enough to try to get him to break the law on his behalf.

There is no guilt to be felt in being of European descendance while at the same time recognizing that it was European settlers who used their firepower to convince the first caretakers of the land to give it up. And then brought people from tropical Atlantic Africa in chains as property and used their labor w/o recompense to fructify the land. But recognize and learn what happened and the horrors that were committed in carrying out those actions. Secondly work actively to make a reality of the promise of our national pledge of allegiance "... one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice FOR ALL." (my caps)
