Thank you for reminding us that the world rejects Christ and His message. There will be tough days ahead for believers. I pray that each of us has a strong enough faith to rely on God for direction and protection.

Point well-take, Erick, and perfectly timed. You are fulfilling the prophetic function in this destructive age.

As a citizen supporter of the national movement to dispose of our former president, I admit that many spiritual issues became entangled in our "Enlightened" humanistic framework.

It now appears that woke component of the new regime is raising promiscuous standards that are unacceptable to us, Christians.

The antichristian agenda that many leftists are presenting is fully as dangerous as the recently-ejected alt-right authoritarian power move that the trumpians attempted to impose by lawless violence and flagrant untruth.

In this environment, my Christ conscience requires that I give full credence to the Good News of Jesus' teaching, preaching and reaching out for all mankind through his voluntary sacrifice, his crucifixion, resurrection and atonement for my sins and the sins of the world.

Accompanying that Christ consciousness is a realization that I cannot change the world; nor do I have expectations that any human governance--left or right, democrat or republican, socialist or authoritarian, communist or fascist--has the grace nor the anointing to impose Our Lord's standards of holiness on the world at large, the heathen world, the world of Caesar and Washington.

We cannot expect the worldly realm to act as the Holy Spirit, except in areas of civil law and order that have been appropriately set forth, legislated and enforced by legitimate civil authorities, for the purpose of assuring peace and safety for all citizens, insofar as it is possible.

Let God be true, and every man a liar.

Bold. Accurate. deeply saddening. Christ must be even more disappointed. With me. Convicting. I agree with everything, yet am frightened of the 'hating' I will receive if I click 'share." Just being honest.

Love this. I needed this reminder...and I also learned a new word. "Eisegesis"...very seldom do I have to look up a word to see what it means, after over a half century of being a "bookaholic" and reading omnivorously...thank you!

We found Truth just too demanding,

So we shouted long and loud....

"We would rather have Barabbas!"

In agreement with the crowd.

Then we washed our hands with Pilate

And went on our merry way.

Now we’re hunting in this whirlwind…

While we’re hunted…..(Let us prey).

Locked and loaded Darwinistas

We’re just humming right along…

“Will to Power” is our mantra.

Freedom means no “right” or “wrong”.

“The promise of postmodernism at first sight is a brave new world of freedom. ‘Truth is dead; knowledge is power,” the exuberant cheerleaders tell us. We must all therefore debunk the knowledge-claims confronting us and reach for the prize – freedom from the dominations constraining us. What could be simpler and more appealing? There is only one snag. If truth is dead, right and wrong are neither, and all that remains is the will to power, then the conclusion is simple: Might makes right. Logic is only a power conspiracy. Victory goes to the strong and the weak go to the wall.” –Os Guinness

Last night I read “The Paradoxes of Christianity” in Chesterton’s semi-apologetic/semi-autobiographical work “Orthodoxy.”

Among other paradoxical topics, it brings to light Christianity’s admonition to love the sinner/hate the sin.

Young Evangelicals—nay, all of us!—might also do wise to remember how making sense of sin is not the same as loving the sinner.

We are still called to be better, to humbly improve our souls (ie, away from sin) so that we may improve the collective soul of our world.
