This is Appalling
Sixty percent of Russia’s exports are energy related.
The President of the United States is authorizing the export of Russian oil, gas, wood, and even uranium. He is afraid, thanks to his failures, that higher gas prices will cause even more inflation and cause his polling numbers to fall even further.
Every day that President Biden does not sanction Russian energy is a day we have not done everything we can do to stop this war.
Ukrainian citizens are literally dying so Democrats do not metaphorically get slaughtered at the polls in November. That is unacceptable.
Even Nancy Pelosi has reversed herself and supports sanctioning Russian energy. Russian oil imported into the United States amount to only three percent of our oil imports. Just a few years ago, we had zero oil imports because the United States was energy independent.
Joe Biden and the Democrats point to unfilled leases on federal lands that oil companies did not use. They claim this is proof those oil companies were not interested in investing.
But those oil companies expected Biden would increase regulatory costs on them to drill so they opted not to make investments in what Biden would ensure were money losers. Some of them, when they took the leases, saw gas prices so low that the investment was not worth it. But oil is now over $110 a barrel, a record high.
Now is the time to drill baby drill. Now is the time to make America energy independent. Now is the time to fully tap ANWR. Now is the time to build gas and oil pipelines, including the Keystone XL pipeline.
We cannot convert all of America to electric cars tomorrow. We need to increase domestic fossil fuel production for reality and not be dependent on foreign oil for some ideal. We need to ban Russian energy exports immediately.
Every day we do not, Americans are helping Russia fund their war. Every day we do not, Ukrainians are dying just so Democrats do not pay a price in the polls for high gas prices. This is shameful.
Erick, I think you and I are pretty aligned on how we feel about Trump: a President who was well-above average on policy and promise-keeping but who was overshadowed by his inability to control his mouth even a little. Yet the energy sector is one of many areas that might get Trump reelected, and every day that Biden continues down this utopian path of energy without emissions is another day closer to that event. Biden and his administration are the epitome of "we know better" arrogance, and forcing this conversion to green energy is just one example. Now, in the Ukraine, this arrogance is literally killing people. Like Afghanistan, the administration seems it couldn't care less, which is atrocious and should be loudly condemned by anyone that gives two craps about human life.
And BTW, for those of you who piously drive "emission-free" electric vehicles and think that solar and wind will solve our energy problems, you are foolishly considering only a small corner of the bigger picture. NONE of those things exist without government subsidies, meaning full conversion to "green" energy would be exponentially more expensive. And your car, where do you think that charge of electricity comes from? A FOSSIL FUEL-FIRED POWER PLANT! And we haven't even touched upon the environmental impact of those batteries. You're being played!

Agreed Erick. And today they’ll crow about a job numbers beat in the midst of this disaster. Wow…people going back to work to jobs lost during the pandemic is NOT job creation in my book. What a mess this old man has caused.
