Congratulations. I was determined NOT to pay for yet another newsletter, The Dispatch was more than I can read but you had to write this excellent piece this morning, so I felt compelled to reward you with a subscription. Your excess religiosity is a turn-off for me but I can deal with that as long as it doesn't get out of hand. :-)

I had not considered the connection between the big three, their studios and China. Duh!!

Thanks for the excellent post.

How about we should not need anyone to tell us to have enough money saved to handle the direst of crises. I realize that is difficult for some but all these people wanting more are making me crazy. Unemployed? File for unemployment. That’s not enough? Well then you might be living beyond your means. Grow up people. Take personal accountability.

That was an excellent 'rant', Eric and I could not agree more.

I can no longer watch - what use to be - my favorite morning news show, Morning Joe. There has been a distinct shift in the narrative that has gone from disseminating newsworthy information to blatant pontification. I simply got tired of Mika's sour expressions and snark. Our network 'news' seems more intent on indoctrination than on informing us of national and world-wide events.

I have watched my family and friends sit spellbound in front of the daily dose of vitriol and turn away angry, frustrated and unable to concentrate on anything other than the "...latest stupidity of this president!"

I did not vote for Donald Trump and so people believe that I am a sympathetic ear - and sometimes I am; there is a lot that President Trump does that I find troubling BUT there is a lot that I have found troubling about all our presidents and yet I have never seen the media go after a leader to the extent that they have gone after this president.

Finally... Who. On. Earth expected China to be honest about their statistics?! The Chinese government has never been open about their country's weaknesses. That they kept the information about the Wuhan virus from their own people should have sent alarm bells off in every government across the world.

Not everything is Trump’s fault. But, he denied the potential severity of the virus while he was being told by his experts that it was going to be a problem. Good leaders at least make contingency plans. The things the task force that VP Pence is leading did the first two weeks could have easily been done in mid-January. We could have anticipated shortages of medical equipment, material and personnel and put together plans to address them.

Yes, Mayor DeBlasio got it wrong. So, Trump isn’t the only one to get it wrong. But, get it wrong, he did. And, he is the only president that we have.

I loved it. Your telling the truth on so many levels. I'm tired of hearing how everything is Trump's fault. There is enough blame to go around.
