Kudos to Scott Jennings on CNN last night for raising the central point of this election. The GOP should pay attention.
Democrats have held the White House for 12 of the last 16 years, and somehow, everything is Donald Trump’s fault.
Barack Obama, last night, claimed the GOP will tell you government is inherently corrupt. Meanwhile, the Democrats are attacking JD Vance for using the GI Bill to go to Ohio State after the military and then to Yale for law school. The elites are attacking JD Vance as elite because he dared to work in the private sector, not the public sector.
Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Tim Walz — all made their professional careers in government and regularly attack those in the private sector as bad. Meanwhile, a guy like JD Vance climbed out of poverty, and they’ll attack him for not knowing his place.
That, ultimately, is what this election is about.
Democrats believe only government can succeed, and if people succeed, those people are bad. They’re supposed to stay in their station in life and have the government take care of them lest anyone else get the big idea they don’t need the government. Because if you don’t need the government, you don’t need Obama, Harris, Walz, and Biden.
Rejecting the government is rejecting them and that is too much. It is also why they must be rejected.
This is not just the central point, Erick, it is the ONLY point!
One of the truest things you have ever said. It is rather frightening how many people want the government to take care of them to some extent. How did we get here. Well, republicans for decades have let democrats get control of "social issues". How hard have republicans fought against the Federal Dept of Education which has successfully made indoctrination centers out of all our schools. Republicans didn't want to get too down and dirty fighting against more and more welfare, obamacare, government funding for ever more "social safety net programs", the gender confused agenda or anything that might be controversial that might prevent them from getting reelected. They were as willing as any democrat to spend taxpayer money if it made them popular with an expanding number of voters who had not been properly schooled in the duties of government. Using our money, they bought all of us to where we are now. Women who may otherwise lean somewhat right are going to vote for the far left just because of abortion or because they "feel" that Trump is mean. Anyone who says voters are smart and will do the right thing has not been talking to many voters.
