The Iranian regime has cut phone lines, shut down cell phone service, cut internet access to the world, and is broadcasting Tucker Carlson clips on Iranian state television.
Obviously Tucker doesn’t know any Iranians or doesn’t care about them My recent in laws are from there and are great people and as far as they are concerned the Islamic Republic can’t fall soon enough
I agree with Eric that this might finally be the moment for Iran to free itself from the repressive theocracy it has been living under. We should do everything we can to support that, with a representative democracy being the ultimate goal. But Iran has not had democracy since at least the early 50’s when the Shah rose to power so this transition may be difficult. And let’s not forget that the US “turned its back” on ordinary Iranians long before Obama - successive administrations of both parties did so during the Shahs reign as well that of the mullahs. Some families grew wealthy under the Shah and were forced to flee just prior to the 1979 revolution, and most Iranians in the US I have met over the years are descended from those families. If the Shahs son is committed to establishing a true democracy in Iran then I’m 100% behind him, and the US should be too. But we should also be wary given his family’s history there.
this just my take on this situation, the only way that I think that exile Crown Prince of Iran, the son the late Shah of Iran could return is that he first publicly omit that he wants to be " constitutional monarch" and lives within modest means, to sure the public at large that he wants to be "figure head " to be able to "unite" the average Iranians. His late father the Shah lived in luxury and control life inside- two reasons which lead to fall of his father rule of Iran and allowed the mullahs into power.
Javid Shah. Iranian friends who have been in this country since ‘79 are more excited than I have ever seen them. The Iranian diaspora became very hopeless after Obama turned his back in 2009, leaving the regime to murder tens of thousands of young people. As for Tucker, he’s a flash in the pan that no one will remember a generation from now. Although it will be fun to watch him try to pivot once his paymasters are gone. Qatar will eventually accept reality either on their own or with a little nudge from the Saudis, and Tucker will either fade away into obscurity or be-clown himself trying to repackage his mutton as lamb.
There have been scores of vehicular attacks on ICE in 2025. It's an actual tactic, though I don't think she was trying to, he wasn't waiting to look and see where she was turning. These rabid activists are creating more dangerous environments which lead to these events.
If this guy was dragged by a car, it was unlikely to have been by anyone who was deliberately trying to hurt him, any more than the woman who got shot was trying to run over him. As with her, it was most likely somebody trying to avoid being taken into custody.
Yes, and by not complying in each situation, people get hurt and/or killed. By Dems creating Sanctuary Cities; not working with ICE thereby facilitating greater danger for the agents and community; and encouraging/whipping up these anti-ICE groups to train in sabotage, to harass, impede, not comply & directly engage, then violence will happen. If you believe in your cause, go to jail for it. But these revolutionaries aren't like the civil rights activists. They want a collapse. Now, they're setting up barricades.
From the article re: dragging incident. The alien knew exactly what he was doing:
During the June incident, ICE officers in Minneapolis attempted to arrest Roberto Carlos Muñoz-Guatemala during a traffic stop. He was in the country illegally, DHS said in a news release, and was previously “ 'arrested for domestic assault and convicted of sex crimes against an underage teenager.' ”
When the man refused to comply, the officer broke his car window and reached inside, getting his arm stuck, according to court documents. When the man attempted to drive away, he dragged the officer, which was captured on video.
The officer suffered multiple lacerations and needed 33 stitches to close his wounds, according to court documents from the June incident, which identified the agent as Jonathan Ross. NBC News reached out to DHS requesting comment from Ross.
DHS said he "has more than 10 years of experience as an ICE deportation officer."
I will take this as a strong counterpoint to the comment I posted below (responding to the Babe). You have forced me to reconsider whether ICE agents could be facing dangerous situations more frequently than has been my impression.
In pulling up New York Post and National Review articles that verify the contents of your comment, however, I could not help but notice that their articles seem to acknowledge that this officer fired at least two shots at Ms. Good not through the windshield, as he would were he in the car's path, but through the side window. I don't know whether you expressed any viewpoint on this yesterday, but I am curious. Does that sound like self defense to you?
Sorry it took me so long to respond. Yesterday's schedule was packed.
I appreciate your willingness to reconsider/seek further clarification that sheds light on what these agents have been dealing with.
He seems to have fired 3 shots. There's a bullet hole in the front windshield that we have a picture of. That would be the first. Then he shot two more afterwards.
The cell phone footage makes clear she saw him and hit him. I just read that there are only 5 seconds from when he got up front to the shots going off.
Do I think she was trying too? No, not really. It's not "domestic terrorism, " but it's going to be a self-defense case, as her intentions aren't relevant- she hit him and he felt threatened. I would say he was foolish to get in front of the car and she was engaging in illegal, stupid behavior which got herself killed. He has an injured hip and his family is now at risk of being doxxed and harassed, imitating Ferguson.
Her partner, who was quite the agitator, yelled at her to drive, drive. She expressed at the scene that it was her fault, and I actually place a lot of blame on her after the cell phone video.
The Left, for a long time, has had a disconnect in the area of cause and effect, or consequences- basics of Natural Law. It even extends into their monetary policy. They are always surprised that bad things happen when they put themselves into a precarious situation or are engaged in high risk/illegal behavior. They think rioting, harassment, and destroying property is legitimate 1st Amendment activity. Last night in MN they began building barricades; they graffitied and tried to break into a hotel where they thought ICE agents were - which is vigilantism.
Sorry, rant...
Anyway, I don't know if you've seen the cell phone footage yet. It probably seals the self-defense case.
You are arguing past my point. Everything you have said might justify the first shot because it was fired at a point when the officer was arguably in danger. However, my point concerns the two shots that were fired through the side window; that is, after the officer was no longer in the path of the car. There are at least two cases in which officers were determined to have used excessive force under similar circumstances.
"To simply view all of the force employed in light of only the information possessed by the officer when he began to employ force would limit, for no good reason, the relevant circumstances to be considered in judging the constitutionality of the officer’s actions. We therefore hold that force justified at the beginning of an encounter is not justified even seconds later if the justification for the initial force has been eliminated.” Waterman v. Batton, 393 F.3d 471, 481 (4th Cir. 2004)
"[W]e have no difficulty concluding that if Strickland and Heroux started or continued to fire on Williams after they were no longer in the trajectory of Williams’s car, they violated Williams’s Fourth Amendment right to freedom from excessive force." Williams v. Strickland, 917 F.3d 763 (4th Cir. 2019).
I understand your point and did a quick skim of the first case you mentioned. Is it possible that the first shot will be declared constitutional, but the latter two not? Possibly, as in the first case (Waterman v. Batton); we'll just have to wait and see. I think it also depends on the state's laws and criminal v/s civil cases, from what I quickly researched.
I specifically addressed your question first, then expanded my point. I always make it a point to answer questions posed to me in chats.
You stated there wasn't a shot through the windshield, only the two after the vehicle moved away. Then you asked if THAT "sounded like self-defense" to me; I corrected your misunderstanding regarding the shots and how I thought that was self-defense.
I went further regarding my perspective, which actually agrees with much of yours, and also how the Left thinks it can behave with abandon.
I know your opinion of ICE based on other posts of yours. I concur that certain areas should be off limits, such as churches, but I support the mission; however, I don't like Secretary Noem.
The Left doesn't seem to be interested in ANY illegals being deported and, as mentioned previously, the activism of leadership in these cities - by restricting cooperation and whipping up the mob - is creating the opportunities for violence between agents and U. S. citizens, (not to mention causing additional illegals to be rounded up when trying to take in the really bad ones). Remember, there was opposition to Biden and Obama deportations, too, just not to this level.
Thanks for the conversation. Time to let the case take its course. My concern now is the revolutionary mob activity playing out against individual agents, their families, and in our cities. I despise the mob with a passion.
This is correct. The purple haired megaphone toters also lie down in front of police cars all the time and then scream when they get clipped. Much has been made of the fact that Good had three children. These kids would have a much different outcome in life if mom had put her focus on them instead of spending hours stalking and harassing federal agents.
Harassing federal agents? You mean guys who spend their days destroying the lives good people have built here, ripping them from the arms of loved ones, tearing families apart; and then go home at night to have themselves a steak and a beer? Oh, boo hoo.
I generally have great respect for law enforcement, standing as they do between us and the more dangerous elements of society. However, contrary to the nonsense many people consume on Fox News, these guys are rarely engaged in apprehending "the worst of the worst." Rather, they're chasing stockboys across parking lots: typically, three or four of them to take down one stockboy. They are, for law enforcement, what the Coast Guard is to the Marines.
Perhaps you can tell that I have little regard for them, and even less for their mission.
Yes, they seem to have learned from the overseas radicals who started lying down years ago. Difference is Americans won't just take it like the Brits have when Stop Oil lies down, so you're more likely to get physically yanked out of the road, run over, or shot here. They want the system to collapse.
There's a whole milieu of radicalization that has settled there. It's the eastern Portland. The school she sent her 6 yr old to was established in 1972 with Social Justice as a founding principle. They breed and nurture revolutionary zeal.
Plus, by Dem leadership not cooperating with ICE and instead releasing these people into communities, they're increasing the likelihood for violence.
The media’s treatment or lack thereof of what is happening in Iran combined with their totally dishonest coverage of MN is the final nail in the coffin. You’d think they’d have learned from their being complicit in Russia Gate, the coverup of Biden’s laptop and Joe Biden’s decline would have taught them a lesson. Apparently not. The CEOs of these institutions should be charged with treason. Seriously. They are in fact enemies of the people. And too many on the right need to be removed and marginalized for playing along for needing to be liked by these assholes. Stand strong for America First or just get the F out of the way because you the old guard ain’t coming back and you’ll get washed away. Trust me America First will not end with Trump. The seeds are more than sown. Opponents will go into the dumpster of history. 100% guaranteed
Erick, my apologies, I have yet to fully catch up on Iran. Instead, I've mostly been watching the the Trump Administration lie about the killing in Minnesota. If the killing was "justified," as virtually all MAGAs claim, why lie about it? The facts should speak for themselves. So far, here is what I've learned from Orange Jesus and his inner circle of sycophants:
1. "This was an act of domestic terrorism" (Kristi Noem)
2. The driver “was blocking the officers in.” (Kristi Noem)
3. "A woman attacked them, and those surrounding them, and attempted to run them over.” (Kristi Noem)
4. "An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots" (Tricia McLaughlin)
5. "The woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer." (Orange Jesus)
6. "And then she ran him over. She didn’t TRY to run him over" (Orange Jesus)
7. "Based on the [video clip], it is hard to believe he is alive, but [he] is now recovering in the hospital." (Orange Jesus)
Of course, there are also the broader lies and the cover-up, both of which are completely on par for the current administration. Noem is claiming these ICE operations, which are terrorizing neighborhoods and rounding up random brown folk, are "protecting American lives" (how, exactly?), while Kash Patel's FBI is refusing to let Minnesota state officials have access to the crime scene evidence, case materials, or individuals involved, preventing a state investigation into the killing.
As for Iran, I'll read up today. That said, one of my closest friends is Persian, and his family was forced to flee during the Islamic Revolution in 1979, losing their livelihoods, property, and nearly their lives. It's about time that the violent theocracy in Iran is toppled for good and replaced by its democratic opposition...or, maybe we could just kidnap the leaders, keep the remainder of the regime structure in place, and simply take all the oil.
Duly note that news of the ongoing popular revolt in Iran is not to be found on NBC/CBS/BBC. One has to take to "X" and Twitter to find coverage. To me, that's a greater concern than the presence of Cucker Tarlson on Iranian TV sets.
You are 100% correct, Erick. As Americans we need to stand with all peoples who seek democracy. A world that is safe for democracy is also safe for America. This applies as much to Ukraine as it does to Iran.
I do pray for the Iranian people and hope things change in a dramatic way. But how is going to be a major question. The regime is well embedded and simple protests won’t bring it down.
An epic and pivotal moment! Taking action is not only ethical and moral, but economical, as well. SOOO much cheaper and efficient to aid the Iranian people in their quest to throw off tyranny from within, than to try to remove said problem by external forces.
Obama's not only lack of action, but in essence, telling both sides are wrong and to stop was such a chicken-shit thing to do and morally offensive.
To find a moral equivalency between the authoritarian Ayatolla and his regime ....and an oppressed people was despicable, but more so, he wasted a golden opportunity to end one of the world's preeminent supporters of terror.
Why?
Because Obama believed America was at fault for many of the world's woes and needed to be taken down a notch. Who was America to oppose a murderous dictatorship when, in his mind, We were little better than they.
Probably less expensive to support them now behind the scenes vs military action later. The regime has so much blood on its hands - God willing their time to move to ash bins of history is now.
Why does anyone defend Carlson?
Really?

Almost like the bombs dropping gave them hope.
This isn't about Iran, but the ICE officer who killed Good. I didn't get a chance to post yesterday.
NBC News reported:
ICE officer who fatally shot Minnesota woman was dragged by car during June immigration arrest
In a June incident, the agent was dragged by a vehicle at least 50 yards and required stitches, according to DHS and court documents.

I wonder if the Crown Prince would be willing to return to iran and sort out this mess.
He already said he would. The crowds have been shouting his name. There seems to be an appetite for a constitutional monarchy again.
Triggernometry has a video with Mahyar Tousi that I watched who is respected in getting news from within Iran out.
We should pray for the Iranian people and ask God to Glorify Himself in the Process as it’s the only way to get the nonbelievers to pay attention.
