“A reckoning is coming. Yes it didn’t come in 2022 because the Republican candidates…”

This is where you lose me. Anyone remember Fetterman and warnock. I would say those are two terrible crazy candidates. One couldn’t think a sentence together the other was and is an anti American false priest who smiled while saying how he was for the murder of babies.

You point to the crazy of the republican candidates and ignore the even crazier and loony left.

What reckoning? We are going to be standing in 2024 with the GOP nominating Desantis and “normal” candidates and still lose.

What will you say to that much more plausible scenario?

We don’t have a candidate problem we have a media problem that will portray any conservative candidate in a swing state as crazy, trump endorsed, and extreme right. Even if they are not.

Your Alternative? Nominate rhinos who will play middle of the road and not get anything done or ask dems for help ALA John Bohner. We don’t need any more of those.

If a candidate can’t get elected when they speak pro American pro conservative is anti abortion and will fight to reduce taxes simply because of something they said or did 30 years ago or is endorsed by trump. Then america is lost.

Nope. Republicans need to do two things come this 2024.

Nominate Desantis and get in on the Mail in ballot game and instead of screaming about voter fraud, which in most states by law isn’t fraud, get in on the dem voter tactics.

Tell people to flood the post office. Tell people to go to their sick and dying grandparents house fill out their ballot and send it in for them.

If we don’t take part in the new format we are lost. And it won’t matter who is the candidate.

Actually, we do have a candidate problem. Kari Lake, Blake Masters, Mehmet Oz, Herschel Walker were all objectively bad candidates whether you want to admit it or not. The *conservatve* GOP House candidates in Arizona won. The AZ GOP got a majority vote for the state legislature too. The candidates who screamed about the stolen election lost.

Mastriano was a terrible candidate who got blown out of the water.

Look, I could go on, but the fact you can't recognize how terrible Walker was as a candidate suggests I'd be wasting my time. I don't advocate for moderate candidates. Sane, conservative candidates can win. Ron Johnson did in Wisconsin. JD Vance did in Ohio. And both did so despite a massive anti-GOP media. But they were not batshit crazy or focused on 2020.

I do recognize that Walker was a bad candidate. My point is that any other candidate would have faced the same scrutiny and been labeled as a “flawed” candidate no matter what.

Not seeing my point. I’m not defending Walker or any of them. I just think people need to realize that candidates don’t matter when the literal fate of our country is at stake. Yes I’d take a glass of water over any dem.

Walker was flawed so what? Oz was flawed. Again so what? What’s the alternative? The dem candidate?

Those same people who decided that it’s better to hang themselves with the dems rather than vote for any trump endorsed candidate. Are the same people going on social media complaining about high prices, crime, and porn being taught in school. I want to scream, “but you just voted for the dem so why are you complaining?” In my view they dont get to.

Flawed or not that problem has been going on since the 90’s. Remember that the media trashed GWB. Turned him into the devil.

The media is the main problem and until people wake up and realize that it won’t matter what candidate is put up, trump endorsed or not. They will lose.

But go on blaming trump for everything without seeing the real problem.

And when trump is gone or not the 2024 nominee. When non trump endorsed candidates still lose. What will be said then? Maybe we can just keep blaming trump even then.

Trump is a symptom not the problem. I wish people would recognize that.

Fetterman had already been elected statewide by the voters of Pennsylvania, who knew him. They'd already voted for him once and his team did a great job of keeping his condition as sheltered as possible until the very end. By his debate performance, the majority of PA votes had already been cast.

Walker was a terrible candidate. I said on radio in the primary what would happen. It played out exactly as I said it would. It was predictable.

Oz and Walker were both bad candidates.

And the fact that voters knew Fetterman makes it even worse. Walker was flawed as was Warnock.

Your accusing one without the other. Pointing at the train wreck without realizing the other train coming at you.

If someone said to you without a doubt voting for Warnock would kill yourself or your children and it was factually and undeniably true. Would you still vote against Walker and vote for Warnock?

That’s the point I’m making.

You chose death over a slightly flawed Walker because of some false rumors. Mmkay yep that makes sense.

Yep 14 days to flatten the curve was the call. For some 14 days turned into 6 months. For most it was 2 years and some who still hide in fear behind useless face diapers.

Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson stepped off the elevator into the Third Avenue offices of hedge fund Eton Park Capital Management LP in Manhattan. It was July 21, 2008, and market fears were mounting. Four months earlier, Bear Stearns Cos. had sold itself for just $10 a share to JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Agreed. It’s why I say insider trading laws should be repealed. The big business big money people aren’t going to jail on these charges. And the only ones who have been convicted of insider trading has been the average trader. Never has there ever been a ceo upper class trader arrested. They still do it with impunity.

The law was intended to help the little person get in the trading market. Make everything fair and it’s done everything but that. Rather just abolish all the fluff and let the traders do their business. In todays world with mountains of information it’s more than easy for the little guy to get in and find backdoor information every bit as much as the big guy. Except now they can do so legally.
