Trump Is Actually Scared of DeSantis. Amazing.
One does not spend more money trying to stop someone from entering a presidential race than against all Democrats combined in 2022, unless there is serious apprehension about a candidate’s entry.
Trump has done that with DeSantis. But now Trump has gone the full Hitler.
DeSantis had his Twitter Space event last night. I agree with my friend Jeff Blehar that it wasn’t a memorable way to launch a presidential campaign, and a big rally to start probably would have done more to get a goodwill bump a lot of candidates see upon entry. We remember Trump on the escalator. This won’t be remembered, for better or worse. However, DeSantis raised $1 million in the first hour.
But then Donald Trump went full Hitler.
That means what DeSantis did was a win for DeSantis. One does not go full Hitler unless one is scared of one’s opponent. This is an actual screenshot of what Trump posted last night.

I think, and hope, that the more DeSantis ignores Trump and focuses on beating democrats, the more Trump will expose himself and turn people towards DeSantis. Maybe I am just dreaming.
Mr. Trump your 6th grade bully impression is showing again. Apparently the only adult in the room is Governor DeSantis. If the presidential launch was so awful I would be curious to see the ratings for Trey Gowdy’s interview.
