I'm going to get blasted for saying this but I'll say it anyway. Mr. Trump unfortunately took a lie and repeated it on national television during the debate and stated it as if it was fact. So now he has to live with the consequences that no one is going to look deeper into the Haitian problem in Springfield because the sound bite he gave the press is just too good. If he would just stay on message and hammer Harris about the economy and her ties to Bidenomics, he would have a better chance of getting elected. It appears that Mr. Trump would rather listen to those (Laura Loomer) who agree with him and egg him on than he would his campaign staff who know how to win elections. And this is where I'll get blasted again. I don't know that Mr. Trump is the right fit to be president this time around He has so much hatred and anger (not saying I blame him) for what they've put him through but the election isn't about him and his personal vendetta. It's about the American people. If he would just get through his thick head and ever blossoming ego, he might stand a chance of winning and being a good president. Harris has no business winning. But we're stuck with two rotten choices. Like Erick has said, hold your nose and push the button. It's all we've got at this point. And that's really the biggest shame on our country.

Conservatives are kidding themselves if they expect the Left to tone down their rhetoric while Trump is tweeting about Taylor Swift and spreading rumors about Haitians eating cats. No this doesn't mean that the assassination was justified or that the world is going to end if Trump gets reelected but it does mean that conservatives should stop expecting Trump to pivot into a respectable leader or spokesman for their ideas. He is getting sound campaign advice from Republican strategists but going with advice from Lara Loomer because it satisfies his ego. He doesn't have the patience for a detailed argument on how the Harris-Biden policies created problems for Ohio communities, he's going to latch onto a rumor. His bs then fuels a frenzy of pearl clenching from left wing journalists who ignore the underlying issues and smear everyone who supports Trump and everyone else on the Right as a fascist. Rinse, cycle, repeat.

The Right could have picked this clown because they've been sucked into a cult of personality. DeSantis would be wiping the floor with Harris in this campaign. Instead, the outcome is a dead heat despite Trump attempts to sabotage his own campaign and provide clickbait for the press. Whether he wins or not, it is certain that more assassination attempts are coming and we are in for some volatile times. Pray for this country
