I always listened to your program until November 2016 as i moved to Durham, NC to be supportive of family. It is great to keep in touch with your daily email messages and hear your common sense approach on ongoing issues in our country. I enjoy your perspective and agree with your article for the most part. However I can't get my head around why believing the press pushing their agenda by fomenting panic means that you also must believe that countries and companies taking steps in response to the virus are part of the same nefarious agenda. They're not. Other countries (except China perhaps) are acting to protect their populations, and companies are trying to cut their losses (events that people will no longer attend, plus liability issues if they expose their customers to hazards). But in my opinion, the media (I exclude local media-I think they are the only ones providing an informative service with minimal agenda) in this country have only one purpose in their frankly crazed level of panic - winning an election and furthering their ideology. Why to I believe that - because they state it outright: Bill Maher, a guy on Nicole Wallace's show, the NYT, etc.; Criticizing every action taken by the administration, but praising Obama for taking action on H1N1 only after 1,000 people died. I really can't find any level of altruism in their conduct, which is why I stopped watching cable news years ago and rely solely on local outlets.
