This is a monologue from my radio show. Listen live from noon to 3 PM here. I'll tell you exactly what I think. I believe mankind contributes to climate change. I do. There are 7 billion of us on the planet. We are a symbiotic unit with the planet. I think we contribute to climate change. I also think the sun contributes to climate change. I think climate change is a natural thing. I think climate change will happen with or without us. The climate is always changing. It was changing before mankind was around on the planet. It'll change long after we're all in heaven, if there's a new heaven and a new earth. On the new earth, there will also be climate change. There's winter, there's summer, there's spring, there's fall. There's always going to be climate change. It is a naturally occurring thing. It gets hotter over time and cools down over time.
I am amazed at the global warming crowd who think they possess the power of God. They probably don't believe in God, yet they believe that mere humans can control the natural changes that have been occurring since the creation of Earth. There are positive things we can do to lessen the effects of pollution, erosion, wasting of resources, etc, but we are not God. We cannot control climate change no matter how much money and government programs we throw at the supposed problem.
Old guys, we've been around for 70 to 100 years. We've witnessed histories first hand. Everyone does, but until you've amassed at least 50 years of it, you don't have a good grasp on the real truth. Truth for the 25 and under group of humans is different than us old guys. They have no idea about the climate change we've witnessed first hand. To this group a tornado is a sign of climate change! To us old guys it's just another tornado. Unintentional lies told along the way? This planet can't depend on oil, 'cause it's made from dinosaurs long extinct, and there's only so much of it, it will run out, and unless we find something different to replace it? We're going to be up the Amazon without a paddle! Truth? This planet MAKES oil every second of every day WITHOUT dinosaurs! It's been video taped oozing from the ocean beds. It's found where no one thought it would be found! The so called scientists tell us to rely on their computer models. I, as a computer expert, rely on our knowledge and old saying.. "when it comes to computing? Garbage in equals garbage out!" And so the scientists get caught fudging numbers to get their desired results!
The truth? OK I'll give you that mankind, and animal-kind, and even plant-kind may contribute to some climate changes, but the truth is, has been, and always WILL BE, that the entire thing is controlled by interaction with the sun! Observation of the climate change on Mars is not made or effected by us, so it's entirely interaction from the sun!
Right now, I am 74 years old and observing the sun's positioning of the jet streams having a dire effect on climate in Canada and Brazil! Who'd think that Canada would be experiencing temperatures in the 120's? The climate alarmists of course yell global warming about it. However they fail to acknowledge the opposite effect in Brazil, where, due to cold weather, the coffee crop, orange crop, and sugar crops are failing! All caused by the sun's activity (or lack thereof) on the planet. Volcanic activity is showing us new life, also contributing to weather. The smoke hides the sun, causing storms and torrential rains!
So to me, the old guy, God laid out in the Bible we would experience things happening with climate, and (the part that the Godless miss) to not... that's right, He said to NOT be afraid! California fires? They caused it by forbidding cutting trees! Now the resulting undergrowth is burning uncontrollably, ALSO contributing to temporary climate changes. The fires add to the sun's heating, and away we go with MORE man made changes...
Amen Barefoot! I'm 18 years behind you and have been trying to share some of your same points. Well written. I will borrow some of them. The scientists who have been trying to share science facts about climate change have been censored and silenced. I hope I live long enough to experience the "dark winter" effects of the solar minimum we're entering. I don't pretend to understand the science behind it but PLEASE God let me live long enough to experience the next mini-ice age. What story will the freezing iguanas in Florida tell when it is an annual event?
No doubt we people effect change to our planet. There have been at least 5 major ice ages in earth's history. Anyone know what that space between an ice age is called?
Way, way back...long ago in the late 60's, early 70's, they said we were heading into a new Ice Age and the only way to prevent that was to send money to environmental groups, and I sent money. Then they said the earth was going to burn up because we were destroying the ozone layer, and the only want to prevent that was to send money to environmental groups, and so I sent them money. Then...they couldn't seem to make up their minds whether we were going to freeze or burn, but they wanted more money...and I realized they were cutting down trees at warp speed for all the paper they used to send me "please send money" letters and I quit sending money and told them all to remove me from their mailings lists...took several years for them to finally do so, or maybe it was just that they decided email campaigns were cheaper, IDK.
But anyhow...by that time I had come to know God, and I no longer believed that "we" were in charge of this earth that He created, so although I was (and am) a firm supporter of conservation, not littering, recycling and anything else I can do as an individual to care for and maintain the little patch of this earth I reside on, I am ashamed that I helped them grow their power by sending them money...and I have nothing but contempt for the "alarmists" that are making small fortunes preying on our fears, pity for the fearful who are supporting them, and rage against the government enablers who encourage them so they can increase their power over people.
At one point it was called click bait. Now it’s a real meal for the vapid, foolish mass of people head down in their phones with no understanding that past may we’ll be prologue. Hence, destroy history so the drones don’t have a chance.
