Being a libertarian, I do not care what consenting adults do in the privacy of their home, as long as they're not hurting children or animals, have at it. That being said, the only way I could care less about what the homosexuals and the gender confused idiots think, I'd have to be dead. As a group they make up less than 3% of the population, by the most generous estimates, and yet they are treated like they are the majority. Why do the republicans and conservatives give them power?

Republicans and conservatives don't "give them power", PCC. They have taken it, along with all the rest of the various grievance industries, because the Democrat Party took them in in order to "broaden its base", and therefore have prospered along with the Democrats. And, they have more natural allies in entertainment and the media than do conservatives. So, they get all the favorable publicity, all the puff pieces, and all the sympathy. It's not at all popular advocating for traditional values and the conservative critique of society. This is something that you, as a libertarian, should be well accustomed with; how many times have you heard libertarians demeaned as rather charmingly kooky folks who keep to themselves and are relatively harmless? The only reason Rand Paul gets any attention is because he's a U.S. Senator; were he just another physician, no one would pay him any mind. "Diversity", in the minds of leftists, is less a principle than it is a construct used to gain, keep, and expand their power.
