As antisemitic riots have rocked dozens of college campuses leading to millions of dollars in damages and over 1,000 arrests, Joe Biden has been silent. Peter Ducey pointed this out in a White House press briefing that led to a nonsensical answer from Karine Jean-Pierre.
But after Donald Trump reiterated the point on the campaign trail last night, President Joe Biden was forced to make a statement today. Instead of flatly denouncing antisemitism like he denounced White Nationalism after riots in Charlottesville, Biden called on all Americans to denounce Islamaphobia, discrimination against Arab Americans, and discrimination against Palestinian Americans… in addition to antisemitism.
I would like for the White House to show the American people the videos of genocidal chants against Muslims. Where is the mass number of Americans who are physically assaulting and verbally abusing Arab Americans simply because of their ethnicity? Have more than 1,000 people been arrested for violently demanding that Gaza be leveled and for universities to divest from companies working with Muslim countries in the Middle East?
The Biden press conference was the perfect snapshot of a man who is beholden to the radicals in his party. Instead of showing the moral courage he so vigorously claims to possess by opposing Trump and the racists on the right, he attempted to pacify the antisemites on the left to keep his coalition of voters happy ahead of November. This is not leadership. This is a bullied man who operates out of fear of upsetting the radicals on his side. Watch:
Basically what we're seeing in 2024 is 2020 in reverse. But instead of being stuck in a basement, Trump is stuck in a courtroom, and can only hold a few events a week. Meanwhile, Biden is out on the campaign trail, where every appearance makes him look like the cognitively-compromised, physically feeble 81 year-old he is.
The gag order is actually helping Trump, by forcing him to stay more on message, focusing on the economy, the Middle East, immigration, etc.
Aside from his formal rallys, Trump's public appearances seem spontaneous and genuine. His trip to CFA? Simply brillant. Pizza to NYFD? Ditto. Bodega (or "bogeda" as Jill Biden calls them) trip? Stunning.
Biden's choreographed trip to that nearly empty store where he wandered off in search of a milkshake was a complete disaster.
Trump is the greatest 'retail politician' I've seen in my nearly 64 years on this planet.
Everything the Democrats do is based on political strategy. They stand for nothing except to stomp their little administrative authoritarian Karen feet in protest for not being in power and control.
This is what happens when you abandon principles only to win. Eventually the little monsters that you coddle come back to eat your face.
