You didn’t have to say it. I’ve been thinking for a while that if they can’t get him in court they’ll resort to more drastic measures. They have to beat him one way or the other.

Two things that won't surprise me in the next few months: (1) Biden replaced on Dem ticket by (fill in the blank) and (2) an Assassination attempt on Trump.

This is the same group of fools that was shocked to "learn" Hamas is steeling aid.

I remember Sarah Palin being blamed for Gabrielle Giffords getting shot. Turns out that was not politically motivated. The NYT only prevailed in the suit against them because there wasn't any evidence to support her claim that the Times' editorial writers intentionally published false claims about her.

Intentionally being the key. Turns out abject ignorance is both a legal defense and requirement to be on the staff of the NYT.

Only the Right's rhetoric can inspire violence.

“fight like hell" "Bloodbath"

But fire bomb an ICE office because Hillary said it was a concentration camp and nothing to see here.

Attack a Senator on the streets of D.C. or the White House Press Secretary, no, that has nothing to do with the leftist media's rhetoric.

A Google search of "political rhetoric causing violence" yields long list of the usual progressive outlets documenting mostly Trump inspiring violence, or as Brookings put it, move the Overton Window as to allow people license to act out their prejudice. But there was this one way down in the list....

Hamas is shooting and killing Palestinians because they dare steal the free food delivered by caring countries. Hamas can’t make any

Money from from stolen food.

I'm not a Trump supporter. However, I understand Haley's and others' position. And honestly, Haley IS a politician, and this is part of what happens in the political process. I didn't say it was good.

I'm not in the "hold my nose and vote for Trump" camp. But Biden's horrifying lack of leadership in every possible way will get Trump elected. If Taiwan gets leveled by China, what would Biden/Democrats do anyway? Send a "Pride" flag over as consolation like they do in our embassies worldwide?

I agree with you totally. MSNBC is completely out of touch with the average American who is struggling to feed his children and keep his home.

Nikki Haley will not be electable in the GOP primary in 2028 if she ducks her responsibility to the candidate this year.

I am of the opinion that she has a higher responsibility to her country first and then to her party. I assume she thinks she can have some impact on the party by remaining viable. I’m skeptical but we’ll see.

Well said. I have no love (or even like) for Trump and a fair amount of trepidation about a second Trump term. But Biden is an absolute disaster - economically, fiscally and especially on national security. Right now, I’m inclined to hold my nose and vote for Trump.

Holding my nose too. I dislike Trump’s street bully tactics of primarying anyone whom doesn’t support him, his lack of personal morals, and his unsurprising about face on abortion. But our alternative is an arrogant 81 year old in moderate dementia, who is literally a puppet of the progressive left. Our country allows in illegals, while making potential

educated productive immigrants, even those married to an American, jump through hoops to get residency.

Only fair, I held my nose for McCain and Romney, neither actually campaigned like they wanted the job, and trump 2016.

Haley has enough gumption to know that any vote other than DT has already established the Damage a Dem can do. Now the guy (Galvin Newsom) who will be the Dem candidate after the Chicago Convention is WORSE than JB.

One can say the warrant language was routine, but I would say it was egregiously included for a reason. I have said all along an attempt of assassination will be arriving any time.

It’s been confirmed that the Obama-Biden DOJ and FBI authorized deadly force against President Trump, his attorneys, guests and family at Mar-a-Lago when they “raided” it in August 2022 in order to seize documents they had planted one year before.

I believe they were hoping for resistance and literally wanted to have a pretext to assassinate President Trump and burn the place down. This is NO joke.

Expand full comment

If the DOJ and FBI were attempting to assassinate Trump, his family, and guests, why in the world would they show up at Mar-a-Lago in August? Surely with the resources they have, these organizations would know that the very wealthy families that own properties in Palm Beach always “summer” in the Hamptons or Newport, etc. Palm Beach is relatively empty in the summer; it has been that way forever. Now a senior citizen, I grew up in South Florida and remember that Palm Beach was a place where the well heeled “winter.” If the FBI was attempting to use deadly force against Trump and family, I believe they would have shown up in the fall or winter.

Nicole Wallace is an embarrassment to her family and herself.

Because she’s a pathetic, has- been bad politician. And has no credibility of her own.

As a frequent watcher of Nicole and MSNBC, I don't always agree with the hosts or their guests. But I do appreciate their singular focus to report on DJT's words and actions. I was a distant fan of NH especially when she eventually began to speak openly about the danger of another DJT term. Situational ethics are common among politicians and while I understand the politics of her decision, I'm sorry that she has chosen to endorse him. I'm still looking for someone (like a Geoff Duncan) who has both the principles and ability to argue for conservative values that benefit all Americans.

Succinctly and well stated view of the situation which should be obvious to anyone not suffering from hysteria due their TDS.Exactly why I will somewhat reluctantly vote for Trump despite the fact that many of his personal attributes are those of a teenage boy who never completed his transition to adulthood.

To slightly reword a well known saying - don’t let the search for the perfect ( which none of us are) be the enemy of the acceptable ( particularly when the alternative has proven himself a disaster in almost every endeavor of his entire life, not just during his presidency ).

Eric, always enjoy your commentary and insights.
