All four entities decided not to prosecute Donald Trump for the campaign finance violation the Manhattan District Attorney is currently preparing charges. The Democrats' obsession with putting Trump behind bars is blinding them to the flaws in this case and the unintended consequences. Let me explain.
To the best of my knowledge, the premise of our Justice system is still “presumed innocence”. If the charge is something that anyone else might be prosecuted for, Trump can legitimately be charged. This gives him the opportunity to show he’s innocent. Period. Take emotion out of this and it’s clear that it’s a legit case, in and of itself.
It's even simpler than what you laid out, Erick. If we’re going to arrest Donald Trump for hiring a hooker and then trying to hide it, then we need to arrest Bill Clinton for raping Juanita Broaddrick and Kathleen Willy. We also need to arrest Joe Biden for raping Tara Reade.
They want him in CHARGE of the GOP, NOT in jail! They would walk across broken glass to vote against him, as would a large majority of Americans. The only easily defeated Republican in the field.
