I agree wholeheartedly, Erick, but what are us regular citizens to do? We all know that there are only two people who stand ANY chance of being elected to the Presidency of these United States and that is either the person nominated by the Republicans or the person nominated by the Democrats. NONE of the "also ran's" will win. Period. End of the story. That means that each of us must choose whichever candidate that, to us, is the "lesser of two evils". My prayer is for a truly Godly person to step forward.

Nick Catoggio at the dispatch.com posted a very interesting essay today: “the End of the Pro-Life Movement, as we know it anyway”. https://thedispatch.com/newsletter/boilingfrogs/the-end-of-the-pro-life-movement/?

What about a President JFK committing adultery daily per his own observations and MLK, JR a so called minister? Oh but they still sacrosanct. Do you believe Obama IS A HOMO AND MUSLIM?

I completely agree. I have been saying this since 2015. You laid it all out for anyone to understand. Thanks for saying it! I was thinking about unsubscribing but not anymore!

Excellent article. As a Christian I agree. But, where do you find a candidate who is worthy to “cast the first stone”? Maybe we have to pray about it and then go with what we believe is the one who is the “lesser of the two evils” and depend on what Paul says in the first few verses of Romans 13.

Hammer, meet nail.

This is exactly right from word one. Sick of the hypocrisy.

I appreciate your “gutsy-ness!” Actually, as believers, we ARE called to “judge” whether people are actually who they claim to be or not. We do not have the ability to extend judgment into eternity, but we are called to judge—the Bible uses the term “discern.” I can certainly feel your frustration. I have been rather appalled at the number of evangelicals who roundly endorse Trump. If it were just Trump or Biden, then when it gets down to the actual election, those are the two God put on the ballot. Yet we have choices. No one is sinless. Yet as a pastor, some certainly sin less in an effort to live according to a Christian ethic. Nicely done Erick. I’ll beef up my prayers that new people will now sign up for this subscription since you most likely have pissed off a new groups! Bwahahahaaaa!

I think that Trump is a flawed man, but I also think that it is up to God to judge him, not you or I. That being said, I can't vote for nearly any of the Republican candidates based on character alone, as they too are flawed people. One of them needs to express a set of policy provisions that I think would benefit the country as a whole, not just claim to be better than Trump, or Biden. I'm still waiting for that candidate to emerge, until then I would have to vote for Trump.

Reading all this is wearisome. I look forward to a worthy Republican candidate for president.

Hold them to a standard and tell them to cut it out. Defend them and they’ll just think they can do whatever the hell they want.

I have posted this one to my fb page. Asking for if, right?! I wholeheartedly agree with your thoughts on this. Until we expect more from our choices for political positions we will get less than people. Those clinging to Trump must not understand how many of us Republicans will never vote for him again because of his character and outlandish behavior. He is toxic. Trump as our candidate will cost us the election.

Your politics must necessarily fit into your religion if you are a Christian. The above describes people who fit their religion into their politics.

The alt- right is not a political creature, it is the left, the world, repackage as "I will win for your cause by being them." Problem is to keep winning with tactics over principle necessarily means compromising to the lowest common denominator.

I've seriously asked God to give us a King David, someone he respects in lieu of all the mishaps David made in his life. This Nation was founded as a nation under God. For me, we simply need to return to that type of individual as our leader.
