You have found out that our Lord really sets us on our life IF we are hearing Him and doing what He leads us to do. I grew up as a country boy, riding horses, driving tractors etc. Then I went to boot camp and found out I qualified to be a pilot. I soloed on my 20th BD and then flew for 40 years. So Blessed all my life by our Lord. So just keep up the good work and keep us informed.
Good morning Tucker. I started and did my solo in the SNJ, then the T-28 and then the TV-2 for jet time and then the F9F. But when I graduated in 1955, I was sent to an AD-4 Squadron flying the Skyraider for the next 32 months and we were a special weapons Squadron and the bombs we had with us during the Suez crisis of 1956 were 4 times more powerful than the ones dropped on Japan. But when President IKE told Egypt to stop sinking ships or we would blow them off the map. They did and we came home on the carrier we were on. Then in 1958 we got the A4's. Then later in the year, I spent two years exchange with the CG flying the Albatross and then the USMCR flying the C-119 for 15 years while flying with PAN AM. All Boeing.
OMG, your resume reads like a reference manual for all the important planes of that era!! That TV-2 has such classic lines, and the Skyraider was almost a carrier-based successor to the P-47...big, rugged, and a helluva ground attack platform.
Wow. Thanks for sharing, and thanks for your service!
Keep up the great work, I really enjoy reading the truth that the left would be happy to keep hidden, soon it will be evident that Biden will prove to the masses that he is a complete idiot.....have a bourbon!
That is darn impressive Erick, and I am not surprised. Your commentary is to politics what Tony Romo’s is to NFL football. You provide an insider’s perspective on the game in a way that is informative, insightful, and very entertaining. You’re better than most of the others, Rush included. In fact, I’m going to go out on a limb here, and call you the best on radio at this time!
Erick, Congratulations! I believe one of your mentors told you to trust your listeners. So, let your listeners know what markets you need their support to get your show aired. God Bless!
O am a big supporter. Please keep up the great work. I don't agree with everything you say, but I appreciate your fact based approach and the indepthresearch you take. I also love that you are comfortable not being a conformist to the popular political mouthpieces. Keep up the GREAT work.
I’m incredibly happy for you! As others have stated, I am privileged to know you and interact with you. Prayers for you & your family always. I look forward at what the Lord is going to do with you on radio!
I cannot respond any finer than has already been done. It is my privilege to know you, to listen to your opinions and comments. I am blessed to have been around since you began your career and to see how you still provide the most excellent voice no matter the storm. Proud of you, proud for you!
Congrats that accidental career worked out! Heaven knows that there are few little kids out there that grow up saying they want a gig in radio. Somehow you managed to find something unique that resonates with people. Yes, maybe it is part theology with a hearty helping of southern cooking that people keep coming for. True, you do have some balanced thoughts on politics that reach beyond most commentators. No, I think it is even more so than that you are....well real. You share frequently about the personal struggles and those of your family. No, not the stuff about all the cool things you get to do as a semi-famous radio. No, the really hard things. The things that drag you down to the bottom where you can scarcely breath. Then you say....but God didn't leave me there alone. That doesn't mean you have all the answers, in fact, you remind us of that as you sit in that in between place each time your wife goes in for scans. It is a reminder that each day is precious here on this earth but it is finite for all of us.
Although we each have different journeys we all know the pain of hurt, struggle, and loss. The truth is most people don't want to be honest how hard it is, let alone sharing it with a million people. Then add to that the train wreck the last few years have been for all us. We are pummeled with media fear mongering on the pandemic while watching our institutions on government implode. It is difficult to not be anxious and depressed. But then this guy comes on the radio says yes all that is true but God hasn't left us here alone.
That's it Charlie Brown. You are a mess and I am as well, and the world is broken. BUT there is a God that is willing to take us as we are and we aren't alone.
Now, will you ever have 500 radio stations, a semi private jet, and condo in Las Vegas to slip off to? I have no clue. But I do know that you are giving people honesty and hope. That doesn't package real easy and it is kinda weird in media world. My bet is if stations will give you a try, they will find that your people are out there in their market waiting. It may never be 500 stations but I think Jesus would probably fly coach anyway.
You are a blessing to the airways… I can depend on you for a balanced, fair, truthful and Christian view on current events.. very difficult in these difficult times. Thank you!
I am just delighted to travel with you. I admire your courage and your commitment to the truth, the same reasons I admired Rush Limbaugh. I am glad to have a coherent and principled voice to follow through the mess that politics is. Congratulations on 11 years, best wishes for 11 more!
Thank you for helping me buy my Recteq grill. Never would have known about it except for you telling me how much you enjoy yours. Makes enjoying good bourbon and cigars all the better!
It just shows there is a need for what you do. You share the fruits of the Spirit with all, even those who haven't invited the Spirit to take up residence (yet). The principles you try to live by, silly things like honesty, respect, and accountability, are the grease that has made civilizations flourish and has lifted countless people from abject poverty. We know who's going to win in the end, but that doesn't mean we give evil a free hand to spread suffering in the mean time. We love you for trying and it looks to me like He is now giving you a hint that you're hearing Him correctly. Giving up your privacy to share those principles with the world has real value, even though it's a sacrifice for you and your family.
P.S. I've been a fan since you stepped in for dear Herman.

Sidebar here, but what did you fly, Don? I'm an aircraft geek and love pretty much anything with wings, but I'm especially into military aviation.

This is great, please let us know if there is anything we can do to help your syndication. I tell my friends in other states about you all the time.
