Trump-hating Republicans have actually helped Donald Trump, who stands on the cusp of victory thanks, in part, to people like Sarah Longwell, Liz Cheney, the Lincoln Project gang, etc.
Liz Cheney has been about Liz for a long time before Trump she tried to unseat a Republican senator Mike Enzie it didn’t happen but she tried Mitt Jeff Flake Litzy from Virginia they are not Republicans if they were they would either vote Trump or not vote Kamala is everything they say they’re against so why would you even think about voting for her or be on the same stage
I agree with Erick's disdain for the Red Dog Republicans who've turned into Democratic partisans and appreciate him working through the ethics of his decision to vote for Trump. I also feel his conduct on Jan 6th is disqualifying but that the radical authoritarianism of the Dmeocratic party is more dangerous because it is institutionalized. The Dems would not have to do something like Jan 6th because they already control most of our institutions and they are wrecking the country. We are in such a need for a conservative correction. However, everytime I bring myself to consider voting for Trump, he does or says something stupid, creepy, or disgusting that makes me change my mind. He's a lunatic. So then, maybe I'll vote third party but then the Dems do something so disgusting (like leaking Israel's attack plans) that makes me think they deserve to live under a Trump presidency again. These times are enough to thrive us all crazy. Bleh
Not that this will aid you in your decision, but as one who was never a fan of Trump, I still don't find it difficult to sift through his nonsense ramblings and focus on the heart of the matter which is police and what is better for the country. My great grands have to live here, and I cannot let emotional responses to words affect themn.
I can’t imagine how one can hate a person so much that they are will to throw their country in the dumpster. Maybe they believe that no matter happens that they are untouchable.
I think that is it. I was thinking a bit ago that Cheney is going to find herself politically homeless as soon as the democrats have used her as much as they can. She is going to be so surprised.
Let's be clear here. Trump-hating Republicans are the necons... the part of the American Uniparty responsible for looting wealth from the working class to put in their own bank accounts. They collude with Democrats... the party of the collectivist corporatist globalist Regime. They don't just hate Trump... they hate what he stands for... they hate his followers. They are the worst of the worst in elites spewing class bias... while virtue signaling empathy and charity only when it benefits their social status cred, but never really costs them a dime or any status position.
I live among these people and my wife and other family used to scold me to be respectful and not so judgmental of this tribe of elites that identify as right and left-leaning Trump haters. But today nobody scolds me... they instead wonder how I had the Spidy Senses to see early and clearly that these are the worst of the worst people in our midst. They are the professional looters responsible for almost everything wrong with the country and they are determined to put their jackboots on the necks of the very working class people that they have harmed for decades.
I don't think we see any improvement to our national trajectory until the popular opinion shifts to identify these people as deserving of our lowest social status... the people that should be targeted as not worthy of any leadership positions in our society because they are greedy, nasty and narcissistic bastards that only care about themselves.
"It ain't over 'till the fat lady sings". How very true.
While things look to be going great for Trump and ever-worse for Kamala, we've still got 14 days until election day..... an entire fortnight. A lot can still happen in that time.
Now is not the time to rest or gloat. Drive hard until the evening of November 5th..... and let's end Kackling Kamala's Krappy Kareer once and for all.
You make some good points and you are right that I don't fully believe in the people of this country. You admit that Trump's actions in trying to illegally end democracy are disqualifying yet he got over 80% of the republican primary vote.
How can I believe in a country when one party's policies are batsh_t crazy and the other party overwhelmingly supports a man that tried to murder America just to soothe his butthurt ego? Its a serious question
You've known what Trump is for at least 3.5+ years and you / the entirety of conservative media have been unable to call him out for it because your audience won't allow you to do it. Hence, he not only suffers no consequences for his illegal actions, he wins the primary in a landslide. A guy that already tried to end our country is returning to the WhiteHouse and he has only tightened his grip on the entirety of the party, all other elected republicans, and all members of conservative media.
Yes - I trust America enough in that he will not be President on January 7, 2029, but there's plenty of damage that he can do short of trying to stay in power. Are you going to have the courage to call out his anti-democratic impulses this time around? you're audience won't stand for it if you even tried.
Cheney going all in on abortion rather than support Trump and after putting forth a bill to ban all abortion at a national level while she was a senator pretty much says it all about the convictions of the "never Trump" so called republicans. And I would venture to say that some of the commentors on this site who spew the same anti Trump nonsense have also convinced some to vote for him.
It continues to astound me that Erich considers what happened on 6 January 2021 as disqualifying for Trump. If there was a video clip of him saying something like go attack Congress it would be playing over and over again by Harris. I would find it disqualifying, but it doesn’t exist. And if one is hanging their hat on the partisan House committee’s investigation in which the Republican Party selected participants were not allowed to be on the committee by Nancy Pelosi, then they should go take a look at the Senate committee’s investigation which was done a year earlier and did not blame Trump for anything. (Yes, Virginia it does exist.) But then again, that wasn’t newsworthy by the elites running the media.
Jan 6 was pissed off voters who didn't understand how all those ballots ( which only ever trend in one direction) appeared in places with no relation to existing statistical analysis.. history may(allegedly ) show a possible fed involvement and there appears to have been gross malfeasance and incompetence by house mgmt.
Not to mention, back in 2020, we saw big leads for Trump suddenly vanish, and big gains for Biden suddenly appear. We saw cops kicking all the Republicans out of the vote-counting rooms while Democrats put pizza boxes up over the windows so no one could see what they were doing. We saw election officials stop counting for the evening, only to resume in the morning with big gains for Biden suddenly appearing. We saw boxes of ballots appear out of nowhere, all of them marked for Biden. We saw election officials ignoring the elephant in the room, and declaring that there was no elephant. Yes, we witnessed the facts on the ground.
Erick has used the word “broken” and I can’t think of a better term for people who betray every “deeply held principle” they ever claimed to hold because Trump is on the other side.
I would say that either a leave it blank or a vote for Kamala would be acceptable for real Republicans. The none-of-the-above vote sends a message to the Trump base that Republicans of principle will not vote for a traitorous scum bag just because he has an R next to his name on the ballot. A vote for Kamala, assuming she wins, would give Trump and his cult yet another losing cycle (they have not won one since 2016) and would punish the MAGAs for their subservience to a criminal. Then, after four years of a Kamala disaster, hopefully tempered by a Republican House and/or Senate, we can nominate a Youngkin, DeSantis, or Kemp who will rebuild the party free from the malignant mental disease of Trumpism that has held it back for the last 8 years.
The last I checked, Youngkin, DeSantis, and Kemp are all supporting Trump. They must not be among the "Republicans of principle" that you mention. So why would you support them?
I think they are just doing what they have to do to stay viable in a party that will purge anyone who will not kiss the ring of the dear leader. Some people are more principled than others. And I will guarantee you that in private Kemp would say he hates Trump’s treasonous guts.
Rings true for me. I went from not wanting to vote at all, to probably voting after Butler, to excited to vote after they added RFK, Jr., to wanting to don all the MAGA/MAHA gear I can find and dance the jig on the way in and out of the polling place cuz Cheney and the lot.
I learned some time ago, that when I try too hard to make something happen, it just gets messed up.

Hate isn't a word I use in connection w/ Donald Trump. I use the terms immoral, amoral, incompetent, greed far beyond that we all naturally have.
I think that is it. I was thinking a bit ago that Cheney is going to find herself politically homeless as soon as the democrats have used her as much as they can. She is going to be so surprised.

LP are short dudes with smarter wives who left them and the occasional young man .🤡
Erick, all real Republicans hate Trump. Only the RINOs love him.
Now that is downright funny.
I thought so too. Thanks!

And yet he’s going to vote for him.
Probably because he doesn’t trust Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi Productions.
I understand. Erick seems to accept the evidence but still votes for him. You’re exhibiting more integrity than Erick.
Although I think you’re believing what you want to believe to justify your vote.
Yup...like I said, if I thought Trump was responsible, I wouldn't vote for him.

If I was conspiratorial, I would say it was the Democrats’ Reichstag fire.
Erick has used the word “broken” and I can’t think of a better term for people who betray every “deeply held principle” they ever claimed to hold because Trump is on the other side.
The only Republicans who have betrayed their deeply held principles are those who support Trump.
So, Republicans who vote for Comma-La are upholding their "deeply held principles?"
I would say that either a leave it blank or a vote for Kamala would be acceptable for real Republicans. I am Pro-life. So is Father that gave me Life. His name God.
I only obey him.
Good for you.

Kamala’s main reason to vote for her seems to have been “I’m not Donald Trump.”
Well, Ms. Harris, neither is Peter Sonski.
Or Chase Oliver or Jill Stein or RFK Jr. for that matter.
