Even though NYC Mayor Adams is accused of taking foreign money, the timing of this indictment, 10 months after Adams had publicly come against the current presidential administration one of the issues of the day, seems to be political. About VP Harris's interview with Stephanie Ruhle, I wonder the motives of her publicly saying that Harris did not really answer the questions?

VP Harris needs to do some homework. According to data from the Federal Reserve, revenue from corporate taxes nearly doubled from 2020 to 2023 to nearly $450B. If corporate taxes have doubled, and corporations can only pay their bills by raising revenue through sales, it stands to reason that much of the “price gouging” she complains about is coming from the need to satisfy the tax man. To raise enough to close the deficit, corporate taxes would have to be increased by a factor of 5! Not a great idea. Oh by the way, the last two times corporate tax receipts spiked like the recent increase, recession soon followed.

One doesn’t have to be MAGA or listen to trolls to question the timing of the Adam's indictment. Could it be that after his remarks someone at DOJ just decided to no longer shield him?

Not surprised that MSNPC would be a softball interview, and not surprised that Harris would whiff it.

Stalin's big trope was "Land Peace Bread".

Hitler's was "Freedom and Bread".

Mao Zedong's was "Serve the People".

Barack Obama's was "Hope and Change".

Joe Biden's was "Build Back Better".

All pretty similar to Kamala Harris' "A New Way Forward"...

The Trump campaign should loop this over and over on every network, especially BET and Telemundo. They should see what they would be getting.

Kamala purports to speak for me - a firefighter (albeit retired) - in service of higher taxes so corporations can pay “their fair share.” Has anyone ever heard a Dem give an upper limit to “fair share?” I imagine it’s north of 80% if they’re being honest.

And doofus reporter asks "where will the money come from if the corporate tax doesn't get raised?" Duh, from the citizens of the US. Who do you think pays the taxes for the corporations? Geez, these folks are liars are just completely and utterly dense.

I watched brief clips from the two chats KH had with Oprah and the other woman. They sounded like metaphysical therapy sessions. When she dropped the word “holistic” I knew the metamorphosis to a complete snowflake was complete.

Anytime the DoJ comes after a person of note, especially a politician, it has to be a form of lawfare to suppress anti-regime thought or actions. This is what I have been trained to believe by my party leader and favorite media sources for years now.

It can't just be because these people commit crimes, can it....

"how much of a vapid walking word salad Harris actually is."

But the average MSDNC viewer will still vote for her because she'd be a 'first' - and voting for her would show how enlightened and anti-racist they are. The same reasons they voted for Obama.

Look for all the Left-wing media pundits today who will be saying that Kamala "hit it out of the park", or some such nonsense.

Re: Kamala Harris and billionaires paying their fair share.

When the claim is made that teachers and firefighters pay more in taxes than millionaires/billionaires, there is some truth to that, however as presented it is highly deceptive.

It's a lot of smoke and mirrors.

The very rich don't derive their wealth from what's classified as "income", i.e., what the govt calls "wages and labor", which is what you see on your W2 every year. They get it from dividends and capital gains, which are taxed at lower rates. And they funnel monies through whatever businesses they own, which they write off as tax deductions. They might “pay” themselves a small salary which is reported on their W2, technically putting their personal income into a low tax bracket.

For instance, Oprah Winfrey owns a business, a huge conglomerate. She pays herself a salary of $9,000 per year. This is her "income" which is taxed at a very low rate since it's so small. Now, if the average teacher's salary is $60,000 per year, then yes, they get taxed at a higher rate than Oprah's $9,000 salary. This is the only truth to the claim surrounding the "billionaires must pay their fair share" mantra.

Otherwise, the rest of everything else Oprah earns is dividends, capital gains, and other monies filtered through her various businesses.

Say Oprah wants a new limo. She just buys it through her business, and Oprah, as an employee, uses it. Now, here's the beauty: She can expense the limo as a tax write-off for business, and also claim depreciation on an asset. It really is a great racket, just as long as you have a good team of accountants and tax attorneys working for you..

If billionaires aren't paying their fair share, why hasn't the team she's on done something about it already? Seems like she's campaigning against herself.

I wish someone would ask her what is on the menu at McDonald's. I doubt she'd know.

This "investigation" by the Harris and Biden administration sounds like an organized crime operation to me. Harris and Biden instructed the DOJ to go after an expendable low-ranking member to show how tough they are on corruption. Harris can now boast that she is tough on political corruption, whether your name is Donald Trump or Eric Adams. Was Adams having lunch with Biden when he received the news? Mario Puzo could not have set the scene any better.
