Harris ads are running before your podcast!

Erick, I just finished listening to yesterday's first hour via the podcast, where you were talking about how Republicans should use the ladder climber response to Harris. I like that, but I thought of another angle that I'd love to get your take on: What if Trump and Vance did an ad taking some of their policy positions and owned the label weird? I just picked a handful of policies from Agenda 47 and wrote this ad:

Scene: Trump and Vance walking in an average American town.

Trump: Kamala Harris and the liberal media are calling us weird. If it's weird to lower taxes on workers so you have more money in your pocket, maybe I'm weird.

Vance: If it's weird to put America first on the world stage, I guess I'm weird.

Trump: If it's weird to cut overbearing regulations so businesses are free to create millions of new jobs in our country, I must be weird.

Vance: If it's weird to say men shouldn't compete in women's sports, I'm very weird.

Trump: If it's weird to establish a strong border so we can end the migrant crime epidemic, then I'm proud to be weird.

Vance: If it's weird to believe the government shouldn't mandate what you eat or what you drive, then yes, I'm weird.

Voice: Donald Trump, JD Vance, and the American people: Maybe we're not the ones who are weird.

I hope you and your friends at the gathering can get these points across to the Trump camp.

The party also needs to spend money to get people on the ground and on the phones not just here in Atlanta but all over especially because AA women are on high alert.

He needs to change his rhetoric and focus on policy.

He’s at a disadvantage because his camp appears to have been caught off guard. Hard to believe since people like me figured it out.

Hope his people are paying attention to you.

While I agree with most of what Erick is saying, I'm not sure who he is talking to. I have not seen Republican ads, politicians, or surrogates talking Harris being a DEI candidate (which she is because her president said he was going to pick a woman of color for VP) or being a childless cat lady (which she is; maybe without the cats). Maybe I have missed it, but the cat lady reference came from an old interview with Vance. Vance has explained what he meant, not denigrating childless women, but the Democrat party which is anti-family and anti-children. Those making the decisions for America in their party are those in Vance's words have no real investment in America's future. I would argue that is true; most of the single women whom I have met here in the DC area who have made it up the ladder have no children - they live for today. (And yes, many have cats, but so do I.)

If I was Vance, I would respond to the "weird" comment with - when they are calling me weird, they are really calling you weird because you believe in a traditional family. Case in point - one of the Democrats who called Vance weird in an op-ed is the poster boy for weird; Pete Buttigieg - our gay Secretary of Transportation who has a husband and took two months off during the train disaster in Ohio to welcome his same-sex spouse's and his child into their "family". Talk about weird.

I am scared to death she is going to be elected and then it’s over for the US.

So am I. They are so loud right now and GOP seems to be whispering.

Trumps’ people most certainly need to call your people. Just sayin’.

Agreed Erick. She’s a climber. People hate climbers. Take the climber and mesh it with “the great granddaughter of the Jamaican slave owner can’t help it. It’s in her DNA. Like great granddad, Kamala kept black men in prison as a source of cheap labor for the state of CA. It’s her DNA”. Watch blacks run from her too.

Blacks won’t run from her. Ten thousand + at her rally today. And Black women are being led like sheep to vote for her. Also, sneaky Abrams is baaaaaack. That always spells trouble.

Black men will. And once they learn more about how she has worked to marginalize blacks across the country, the women will run too.

I hope you’re right.

It's in her DNA?

I get your meaning, but you might want to choose a different metaphor.

Understood. Early stage of the creative process. Erick would spin it up nicely…maybe, she can’t help herself…or something like that…

Reagan had the perfect question for the voters, “are you better off now than you were four years ago?”.

Unless they scrub everything, she has a track record of failure. Her plans for the future don’t help the common people. Emphasize that.

Erick understands all the negative ramifications of the assignment of the epithet by a white conservative about a person of color. Most white conservatives do not!!!! If the Trump campaign as well as its surrogates and supporters continue using that term about Harris, the GOP will lose millions of potential votes not just in the presidential race but in down ballot congressional and senatorial races particularly in swing states where there is a significant and solid Black, Hispanic and Asian (all corners: East, South and Southeast) middle class who are in the process of becoming more conservative like others in their identity group have already done. Think Tim Scott, Clarence Thomas, Condoleezza Rice, Nikki Haley, Bobby Jindall, Elaine Chao (Sen McConnell's wife) Those states include: GA, PA, MI, WI, MN.

They’ve got to let go of the term. Now.

But will the top of the ticket - a motor-mouth hater be capable of saying she's unqualified because of her race and gender w/o using those tired old and inappropriate terms? Let's remember she is a graduate of America's most prestigious HBCU which has helped develop an elite in the African-American community which is influential far beyond their numbers.

You're absolutely right about significant numbers of minorities becoming more conservative, especially African Americans. I expect this race to put a stop to that, at least for the moment. Republicans used to inevitably mix in race-baiting appeals during elections, and this kept some blacks voting Democrat even though their natural disposition was conservative. Now Republicans are about to do it again.

The implication that Kamala Harris could only have gotten where she is through DEI is deeply offensive. Meanwhile, is someone who is otherwise favorably disposed toward Harris going to change his mind upon being convinced that Joe Biden chose her because she's a black woman? In sum, this will alienate black folk while winning over no one.

However, the racists in the Republican Party (by which I do not mean all Republicans) cannot help themselves . . . and that includes Donald Trump. From thinking that his felony conviction will help him bond with African Americans to believing that a slick line of sneakers is the key to winning us over, his racist beliefs lie only just beneath the surface. As his poll numbers start to slip and he begins hearing the sound of that jail door clanking shut behind him, he's inevitably going to say things about the African American he's running against that betray who he really is.

(I cannot help but add that most African Americans do not go to jail, and those who do don't vote. What an idiot.)

They should let her speak for herself. She had said and done so many things that are anathema to a great majority of the voters , that voters just need to be constantly reminded of them as she and the MSM attempt to rebrand her. Besides, repeatedly showing he in an unedited manner will not only reveal that she is both a radical and an opportunist but also is someone who seldom has had an original thought during her life in public office.

How black is Kam. How black is BHO? You know

Kam's families owned slaves. She has benefited financially through the years accordingly. The glitz glaze will wear off Kam soon. Kam will have a hoof-foot in the mouth disease outbreak also. More disclosures will come out on Kam. I m not real keen on JD Vance, but he is a US War Vet Marine, and I tip my hat to that. He is bright, he has greatly osmossed from away from DT to now he is arm in arm.

Kam (if she is still the Dem candidate) will be dangling like a spider monkey by mid OCT. DT and JD will be elected and Dems will bring chaos and Civil- W II. I could even foresee another COVID lockdown produced by Dems by Nov 1. But the people will not lockdown again THAT IS ANOTHER BASIS FOR CHAOS. I would say; lock and load and buckle up. Selah

PS I think with G Duncan vigorously out supporting Kam and advocating for voting for her is an egregious atrocity and personally makes me regurgitate. If Kam goes into the WH as such; you can finalize the obituary on The USA> Just saying

G. Duncan, whom I used to admire, is another person broken by Trump, I’m sorry to say. I can see an honest decision to sit this race out and not vote for Trump. Actively pushing the horror than a Kamala Harris admin would bring betrays every principle he claims to represent.

So... it's not a DEI hire. It's a payoff/payback.

Erick, you are right anyway everyone including blacks know she was a DEI appointee. Many blacks don't like that but many don't care. I was watching an ad today on TV for Kalmala and it stated that she was the one who put a cap of $35.00 a month on insulin. I remember seeing an ad for Uncle Joe and he said he was the one who put a cap of $35.00 on insulin. Now I know Uncle Joe does not lie because he assured us in a Nationwide speech that he does not lie nor will he ever lie to us. Erick, I smell a lie don't you, who could it be?????

I well remember Erick saying Kamala in the 2020 primaries seemed to think “winning Twitter” was the goal rather than winning votes. I think she’s definitely “winning” this year’s social media in the first 10 days. Will it translate?
