Frankly the Biden team should thank Obama. I think Obama knew Biden would loose the 2016 because the country had had enough of Obama. Trump was unique candidate at a unique time, he was going to win.

There is no way Biden would have been running in 2020 if he was the looser against Trump in 2016.

Erick, I think it's a real asset.... and a blessing..... that you are friends with so many high-level Democrats. I've known many former friends on both sides of the aisle who have cut ties with each other over the pettiest of political disagreements.... Often times, those people then retreat into their own bubble, their own echo chamber and their Facebook feed serves as daily reinforcement that their own side is always just and righteous and the other side is always wrong and evil.

You Sir may be right. I just don’t think the Obama’ s ego would let him to go quietly into the night. Both Biden and Obama don’t believe the in exceptionalism of this country. The other person who I believe has way too much influence is Soros and his son and the only thing they believe in is chaos.

During Obama's 2008 campaign, in one speech he said that he wanted to "fundamentally transform" America. Right at that moment, I knew he was no good.

1.) All politicians have strong egos and ambition. 2.) Cite sourced examples of policies which prove your statement that "... Biden and Obama don’t believe in the exceptionalism of this country...."

Maybe my memory is fuzzy (not like Biden's, but...) but didn't Biden to decide not to run because it was too soon after the death of Beau Biden (who did NOT die in Iraq)?

Totally off-topic, but I'm really liking Trump's 'go anywhere 50 state' campaign. He may not win NY, CA or IL, but he may help bolster Republican turnout in the Congressional races that may help bolster their chances of holding (if not increasing) the Republicans' majority in the House.

“Do you really think things would be this chaotic if Barack Obama was really in charge?”

YESSS! Obama was the worst foreign policy president in the history of the Republic. Biden’s foreign policy is exactly what I would expect if Obama was still in charge.

The question should be who was/is running Obama? And Biden? They're just fruit of the same poisoned tree

Haven’t watched the video yet, but will see the idea of Obama being Biden’s puppet master Doesn’t come close to passing the smell test. The reason is, he was an absolute meat puppet himself for eight years. In all seriousness, I’ve wondered who is running this country since 2008. It hasn’t been the Wizard.

Damn, I'm going to file this under who gives a sh*t and hope you condense your post to the actual issues without all the BS that anyone with a room temperature IQ can figure out on their own.

I do hope you really aren’t getting “played” by your friends!

If Joe, Donna, etc really care about our country their rhetoric is concerning. My hope that your friendship is not grounded in a private “hate Trump” discussion.

Sorry Erick, I love your show, but not sure I really trust you.

Yeah, but have you watched this deep-dark-secret-rabbit-hole video....?

I read an article recently by Victor Davis Hanson who does think Obama is running things. No way Biden is managing the current administration. Whoever is in charge is doing a really good job of fundamentally changing America.

I happen to believe that Victor David Hanson has a more realistic outlook on the whole thing than Eric much of the time. It doesn't have to be Obama himself, as I do believe the Bidens and Obamas hate each other, but Obama installed a lot of his ilk throughout the government. Rice may be gone, but many others are not.

Who then? Dr Jill? George Soros?

Erick, your wisdom and knowledge continue to help.

I have heard that a lot, even thought it myself. Thank you.

Agree with Eric- both on the way you remain in contact and discussion with people with whom may disagree politically but havevother interstate in moon and also can test your beliefs and vision of the world. And as you state it is the Christian way to relate to others. We all have strengths and weaknesses, let him/ her is without sin cast the first stone is one of the lessons that I learned in Sunday School 75 years ago, My former partner and I have usually ended up on different ends of the political spectrum, him supporting moderate Dems ( Bill Bradley being the prime example) and me supporting Republicans in the libertarian end of the spectrum. When Bradley was running for President ( yes, I am that old) he invited me to a small group discussion of approximately 25 individuals at his apartment on the Upper East Side of NYC ( I was then a NJ resident who now lives in rural CT) with Bradley, and I initially demurred since I had significant policy differences with Bil, but his response convinced me to attend - “it us important that he hears what you have to say “ (since he realized that practically everyone else in the room inhabited the same echo chamber.

When we all sat down to dinner the woman who happened to sit next to me engaged me in conversation and almost immediately it somehow came up that at that time I was one of Newt’s friends and a sounding board in the policy arena. In about thirty seconds she excused herself and when she returned found a still empty chair as far towards the opposite end of the table from me as possible and pointedly refused to acknowledge me when she passed me as she departed. I wondered if she felt the need to shower as soon as she arrived home. 🙂🙂 And that was when political discourse was still relatively civil, the current attitude of the two completely warring camps and cancel culture of your opponents is certainly tragic and counterproductive.

Eric, I do agree with wholeheartedly on this. I think it is a shame that we have become so polarized politically in our nation. I am a conservative, but I have very dear, long time friends that hate Trump and think Biden is OK. We do not talk politics but do have much other things in common, especially friendship. Being so divided is not good for our society, and that aspect troubles me. I will however, be voting for Trump. Biden lost me decades ago. I think he has always been a jackass.

One of the traits that makes you credible is your network of connections on both (all?) sides of the political spectrum; too bad some of your listeners can't appreciate that fact.

As I told my sister this weekend- I know Obama is not pulling the strings because of the ineffectiveness/disarray coming out of the White House. I didn't like the guy or his policies but there was no confusion coming out of DC when he was president...

The money is in charge and that would be Soros. James Joe and Jake arte real cretins. Scarborough is a real *Hole when I see replays of what he says., and is a real DT hater. If I could only buy him for what he is worth, and sell him for what he believes he is worth, I could do well with big profit. The others consider themselves to be high on the edge also. Also, been telling since last year, guys that JB would not be the canadiated Nov 2024.

I agree, Joe Scarborough is a real *hole, and inspite of his intelligence, a real goober. And yes, if you could do what you describe, it would result in a nice retirement nest egg. Or subtantial play money, LOL!
