The big difference IMO is that Harris has 95% of the mainstream media in her favor, so low information voters don't ever get the whole story. That's a really big thumb on the scale.
There are two types of low information voters, ideologues who will vote Democrat because (pick a logically flawed argument), and Independents who simply do not have the time or desire to engage in politics until is time to vote.
The former is lost, the MSM simply reenforces their flawed thinking the reality of their daily life not withstanding.
The later recognizes their daily life has been negatively impacted for the last 3 1/2 years and it was better under Trump. They also want someone who "cares about them".
Trump is doing a great job of actually connecting with these people; better late than never.
