This will be short. Biden’s speech was fine. Expectations were so low that as long as he stayed more than ten minutes and didn’t screw up the teleprompter read, he’d be fine. He did that. He actually exceeded that. The speech was fine for what it was. He wants this to be about character and competence. That provides the GOP an opportunity to review what actually happened at the DNC that you didn’t see on TV. From calls to defund the police to proposed bans on charter schools, that was the Democratic convention you didn’t get to see on TV.
It is frustrating times. Well said Erick. Priorities matter in a country that is so at odds with each other. I quit getting upset with my team losing football many years ago. I vote for the people that best support my conservative belief system. It is hard to find but I lean in and pick the candidates closest. I’m done with politics too- it is a losing game!
You are sooooo correct. I am profoundly glad to hear what you said. I was a blogger on the topic of the Christian worldview until 2016, and that is when I stepped back. I had always thought God wanted me to help Christians get their worldviews sorted out, because of exactly the sort of problems you discussed. But the day came when I realized that if the Holy Bible isn't enough to straighten out someone's worldview, I certainly could not hope to do it. So my call now is to get people to read and listen to the Bible. Like you said, we who know Jesus are called to share that good news with as many people as possible, and the best way to share it is to read the Bible and actually listen to what it says.
Thank you for your faithful daily testimony in print and in voice.
I pray for you and for all the rest of us who are trying to share Jesus. The view looking up is a lot more hopeful than the view looking down.
That was terrific and your view point from your front porch really spoke to me! At 82 years young it concerns me that sometimes I get too caught up on politics and things that really are insignificant in the big picture. We need to focus on Christ and give that witness to people! Thank you!!
Well-spoken on your Instagram. Speck/log point here... wonder how many missed your message while thinking they should point out the nest on your front porch? :)
I surely do wish the President would call you daily and TAKE any and all advice that you have for him.
