One issue with blacks and Hispanics is that there slide towards Republicans is arguably connected to Trump and if Trump and his policies go away, so might their votes. The same might be said for rural Democrats sliding to Trump because he brought back their jobs in contrast to the Republican globalists who arguably couldn't care less about their jobs being shipped to China.
The Presidency matters more than people think. Under Biden, the stream of constitutional friendly judges that Trump has appointed will come to an abrupt halt. Biden would likely restore the Paris Climate Accord and Iran Nuke Deal with EO's without a Senate approved treaty. The peace deals Trump has negotiated between Israel and various Arab countries may be in jeopardy.
One can argue the Republican suburbs voted against Trump, but that doesn't explain why they elected Democrats to Congress in 2018 when Trump wasn't even on the ballot. The more logical argument is that these suburban voters elected Democrats to stop Trump's policies from being implemented. But if Trump's policies go away, so do his voters.
