Former Congressman Brady and Vice-President Biden remain confident that votes from Philly, once they're counted, will put Biden over 270, no matter what happens in Arizona. But Trump got more votes in Philly in 2020 than in 2016 - and more than Romney. Republicans are the working class party. But I think the suburbs in Philly identify more with academia than with blue collar; hence their move to the Left. Our minister at Tenth Presbyterian tonight reminded us that GOD does not change, and He forever loves those whom He has called to eternal life.

I've thought along these lines before and appreciate your validation of what I suspected. I feel it's more about lazy journalism than anything else. A machine grinding it out to fill the time allotted. Time is the most valuable resource any of us have and the CNN's, Fox, etc. waste my time. The annoyance is they expect you to take them as credible and seriously impactful. Insulting.

We need a legitimate third party here NOW. As a black man the Democrats are moving too far left for my liking on many issues, however, Republicans are IMO generally too bigoted and too far right and dare I say many of them, not all but VERY many are closeted racists and they fail to truly listen, if listen at all, to the issues affecting black people. Yes there are racists on the left also, but in MY experience more lie on the right. African- Americans generally hold mostly conservative beliefs but the treatment we receive from Republicans and many of their polices that downplay/ignore racism, ignore the scourge of bad policing that continues to occur against black people, cannot and will not let most of us align with the GOP. What is the GOP doing to solve this problem? Nothing at all that I can see.

I remember when people used to read rather than watch. They would think instead of react. They would discuss rather the insult. Even growing up in Boulder during the 60's and 70's, there was far more dialog than diatribe.

We as a nation have ceased to be a thinking population. MSM sells clicks, Americans click, they figured out the Capitalistic outcome supercedes the content - get 'em to click and you win. Sensationalism, hyperbole, gaslighting, all manner of yellow journalism successfully generates income without informing a single American.

Praying for revival among God's people, return to being Salt and Light that even secularists would begrudgingly respect for true humanitarian behavior.

Excellent post. Why don't you start the newsmedia stationed in Atlanta? I'll happily subscribe.

IF the Republicans hold the Senate, and can use Redistricting to help their numbers, we *could* see a Republican Congress and a Pres. Joe Biden after the 2022 elections.

CNN and the other MSM sources are not likely to change course - even if it would be in the best interest of the country. The amount of people who want honest debates over serious political issues is limited and it doesn't include them. Rush is actually one of these people, although that aspect of his personality is never presented by the media.

One issue with blacks and Hispanics is that there slide towards Republicans is arguably connected to Trump and if Trump and his policies go away, so might their votes. The same might be said for rural Democrats sliding to Trump because he brought back their jobs in contrast to the Republican globalists who arguably couldn't care less about their jobs being shipped to China.

The Presidency matters more than people think. Under Biden, the stream of constitutional friendly judges that Trump has appointed will come to an abrupt halt. Biden would likely restore the Paris Climate Accord and Iran Nuke Deal with EO's without a Senate approved treaty. The peace deals Trump has negotiated between Israel and various Arab countries may be in jeopardy.

One can argue the Republican suburbs voted against Trump, but that doesn't explain why they elected Democrats to Congress in 2018 when Trump wasn't even on the ballot. The more logical argument is that these suburban voters elected Democrats to stop Trump's policies from being implemented. But if Trump's policies go away, so do his voters.

I cut the cord. Went Hulu live and wIll cancel because I get so much more from YouTube, and substackers like Matt, Glenn, Halperin and you Erick!

We will survive this. (My kids not so much - I’m not so sure what the USA looks like in 20 years)

Vote with your dollars. And help independent journalists.

Corporate media (that includes Fox) is lame legacy media.

May they go away quickly.

If you haven't already, check out Lisa Napoli's "Up All Night," a history of the founding of CNN. (Although there is some "adult" language in the text, it's a great read. The audiobook, which she reads, is highly entertaining.)

The conclusion I drew was that, in 1980, Ted Turner was attempting to do IN ATLANTA what you had done. Having sold the network later, he lost control, and we are where we are today, a rather sad pass.
