I watched Fox & Friends this morning to see if they would cover the biggest news story of the day. I knew they wouldn't, so for those of you trapped in the conservative media bubble where you're fed nonsense (like Erick's here) and kept screened off from anything that might upset the conservative propaganda narrative, let me give you the news.
In the aftermath of Trump's top general, Mark Milley, calling him a "fascist to his core," Trump's longest serving Chief of Staff thinks the same thing:
Do not be too positive because some of those Trump voters may stay home because of one of Trump’s flaws . rich, younger hot looking wife, outspoken, etc
NOTE: Your still have to vote. If you live in the FL pan handlen or anywhere West of EST ignore the press calling FL for Trump at 6:00 PM EDT. Go vote.
There is only 1 way to insure President Trump's victory. VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE !! That is for everyone, especially those who's parents said, "If I told you once I've told you a dozen times". People please don't let up on the throttle! Vote early and in person, it's worth a hour's pay to be rid of this POX thrust upon us by the Democrats and their media cronies. And to reiterate what Erick said yesterday, just imagine the fun of watching the media meltdown!! Elon Musk should start a go fund me page after the election for media who need airline tickets to leave the USA! All this "JOY" can only happen if we vote! And yes I have, as well as my 18 Y.O. grandson who voted for the first time in this election. By the way, VOTE. God Bless the USA!
In the Army we had a saying about leaders who thought doing the same thing during unsuccessful missions would produce different results: "beatings will continue until morale improves" !
Appears the Harris campaign strategy is going to be principally "Orange Man bad" (only yelling it louder) until the very end without really articulating a positive vision for the Country .......... this is not and never will be a winning strategy.
Having first spent time simply introducing herself to voters who don't know her and then rolled out some policy positions that contrast favorably against Trump's, lashing into Trump for the remainder of the campaign is exactly what she's going to do.
I've laid in a good supply of popcorn. This should be fun!
Erick, I've contributed the legal maximums to three of the US Senate toss-up races and one toss-up House race. I've also made a couple of small contributions to vote gathering in PA. With only 13 days left, do you think there's any point in making further contributions, and if so, where?
I have not donated anywhere, because I’m already sick of being spammed via text 30 times per day and because a donation I made a few years ago somehow defaulted to a recurring weekly one when I'd intended it to be a onetimer.
Understand. These campaign funds totally abused contact info last election cycle. All my campaign contributions done this year without submitting phone contact info—using checks by mail on some campaigns. Also used separate email to deal with spam.
Erick, I appreciate what you see and how you interpret it, but hope you won’t beat the drum too loudly. The perception of a tied race will do more to help Trump’s turnout than Harris’.
Good signs all, but I won't be truly confident Trump has won until the Electoral votes are certified. And wouldn't it be great seeing Kamala, (in her role of presiding over the Senate) have to certify her opponent's victory?
She'd be the first sitting VP since Al Gore to do so when he certified Bush 43's win. (Thanks, Jeopardy! for that nugget of info.)
I'm sure Tulsi's announcement won't hurt Trump in the least, and may help some hesitant Repub voters decide to vote for Trump.
This is still about as pessimistic a read of Trump's chances as it gets (e.g. what is the basis for her being the favorite in Nevada at this point??). The early voting is nothing short of catastrophe for Ds given where they needed/wanted it to be.
And even as the polls converge toward him nothing has changed. Her polling surge was a complete selection bias driven mirage.
I think the best indicator of where the race is at is the increasingly wild hopium/copium of the Democrats in the media and on social media.
Erick remains cautiously optimistic rather than rootin' tootin' fan boy. What I read here is definitely in contradistinction to Harris fan boys (and girls, and trans, and...). This is not Ronald Reagan, this is Donald Trump. If he maintains a calm and civil demeanor, stats suggest he can win. He remains Donald Trump, which could include needless meltdowns coming down to the tape.
Good news: God knows what America needs despite our best time-limited hopes and prognostication.
Of course not. Polarization of MSM is complete - there is only one standard per MSM and the left keeps moving it around to fit their narrative. Whatabout-ism is a one way street to CNN/MSNBC/et al. Kinda like calling a black person racist - no such thing as a black racist!
That is a ... charitable take on it lol. When this is over I think we need to have a reckoning about national conservative media figures where you ask yourself a basic question: would I want this guy next to me in a foxhole? It is true there is a core MAGA that is just perma delusional. But I think we have another problem in conservative culture: winning requires some sense of confidence.
Think of it this way: if you got off a spaceship from another planet with no preconceived notions and graded Harris and Trump on their gaffes and missteps is there any universe where Harris gets the better grade? No. But the left never worries about that. They feel entitled to win. And I think that confidence is part of the reason they win so much.
Our side needs more Pattons, and fewer hand wringers.
"I'm not going to engage in hypotheticals." Isn't engaging in hypotheticals ONE small reason we have laws and courts to enforce them?
Media is in full “hide the laptop story” mode, now

When historians write about this race, this could well be the "October surprise" that they point to as having largely determined the outcome.
(If you're just finding out about this, please think about what that says about your news sources.)
Left Desperation is everywhere.
CBS nonsense.
It really is amazing just how bad she is at this, especially given how much time she has had to work at getting better.

I have a beer on Trump winning the popular vote.

Apologies for the cross-post; this was in the National Review today

As of noon yesterday, Polymarket gave Trump a 64.1% chance of winning, his highest yet. They're giving Harris a 35.9% chance of winning.
Also.... Polymarket is giving Trump:
70% chance of winning North Carolina
62% chance of winning Pennsylvania
60% chance of winning Michigan
57% chance of winning Wisconsin
71% chance of winning Georgia
74% chance of winning Arizona
63% chance of winning Nevada
I haven't seen a presidential campaign implode like this since Dukakis in 1988 or Dole in 1996.
Then add Polymarket to the list of those who are about to look really stupid.
"Trump has slightly higher likeability than Harris."
Now THAT is something to behold. MSM would have one believe TDS is "normalcy", so if Harris is less likeable than Trump...

I was just going to mention Al Gore in 2000, but you beat me to it!

Do you think were he one of them the left would ever have acknowledged Trump's excesses, gaffes, scandals, missteps, etc.?

FWIW, here's another perspective on the Georgia race: https://thenationalpulse.com/2024/10/22/just-28-of-men-in-georgia-support-kamala-harris/
