Am glad that my house and car are the only property which I own. Starting a small business, especially in a big city run by Democrats, requires jumping over many hurdles. Some businesses have not recovered from the double whammy of COVID and the riots in 2020.
I am growing increasingly concerned by everyone talking about our country losing its democracy. It was not founded as a democracy although it has been moving closer to a democracy over the decades. Our government is a representative republic rather than a democracy. The founders of our nation feared a democracy and shunned it. The Senate was established to provide equal representation of the States. Senators were selected by the governments of each State. More recently, Senators have been elected by the people of each state moving toward a more democratic Senate. There is a movement for States to cast electoral college votes according to the national vote rather than according to the State's vote. This is becoming much closer to democracy. If we become a democracy where the majority vote of the people controls our country, my State of Georgia will have no say in the direction of the Country. A democracy is a very dangerous thing for most states and a very dangerous thing for our Country. Every time I read or hear someone lamenting the loss of our democracy, I worry that a large majority of people actually believe them. We are a country in crisis because we are a people who have lost the knowledge of our founding.
Just a question. Why can the dems demand that you get out and get vaccinated over and over again, but you are unable to get out and vote. Maybe someone needs to ask Joe and Nancy that.
Since this is Dem vs Dem.....I don't see this elevating to a "riot" level of intensity/insanity. Of course, I could be wrong. I will stock up on popcorn just in case.....

We've been to this movie before. Remember the riots that followed Trump's original election back in 2016. Probably not. Why? Because the media buried the footage, but I recall vividly vehicles on fire in DC as Antifa-looking rioters pushed against riot police, etc. How many police were injured that day and in the riots that continued seemingly throughout Trump's Presidency? How many businesses and lives were destroyed by those riots? How much property damage was done? How many government buildings were destroyed? It doesn't matter because it was all done in the name of the Democrat partly fighting against some illusory, supposed authoritarian regime, so they got not only a free pass from the press, but encouragement from Dem leaders and their left-wing media enablers. Pray for the conversion of sinners and protection for those on the side of truth, peace, and justice.

Dude, when you say that the left hasn't stormed the capitol, you are conveniently overlooking that they stormed the supreme court, stormed whatever federal building the Kavanaugh hearings were in, tried to get into the white house, rioted during Trumps inauguration, and stormed into one federal building recently, possibly in a rage over climate or one of the democrats absurd bills that they want passed.
