I might have to revise my estimate of a 40 - 50 seat Republican gain in the House to 65 or more seats. If Republicans don’t screw it up (always a possibility), and potentially the dominant position in American electoral politics for a decade or more.
Barack Obama was right when he reminded people to “never underestimate Joe’s ability to (bleep) things up.” And Congress may have the “first among equals” stature the Executive Branch has had since FDR.
Well, when it's an emergency, a crisis we must act now, we cannot hesitate to save our democracy (actually Republic), and the planet, and all the people of the world from themselves. That's not tyranny it's compassion, we care.
We are told to pray for our leaders...even those feeding us to the lions, for the welfare of the nation is tied up in who they are and what they do. Whether we like it or not the American people elected him, even if he hid in a basement and lied about who he is and what he stands for. I am praying that we survive until November 2022 and then survive until we get to choose again in 2024. Let's hope we have some really good candidates to select from in 2024. I would really like to be able to vote "for" someone. I also hope I do not need to be voting "against" one without really supporting the other. Let's also pray that as a nation we wake up. We need repentance and turning back to the one who in the end allowed us to have the leader we have. His life is in the hands of the real King and it is a frightful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God. Someone needs to share the real gospel with him with all of its blessings and responsibilities before it is too late for him. I don't believe he has ever come face to face with the living Lord. May we not be ashamed when we do ourselves.
