I do not understand where this 20% rise in pay nonsense is derived from. Certainly not from pay raises to people in their current role. Maybe offers made to new hires have risen, so if you quit your job, go someplace else, zero out your seniority, maybe you'd see some of that largesse. Although I doubt it given the softening of hiring at this point in the economic cycle.
I would argue few to no people have received a 20% pay hike since covid let alone in the past year or so. As Rush would say this is pure Barbara Streisand. As much of a Red Herring as their statements of price abatement.

While Haley's reminding us that she's wearing 5-inch heels and calling Vivek "scum," my girlfriends and I are siding with Vivek in their little dustups.
Let the anti-Vivek arrows fly; I'm used to it, and I've heard it all. In the meantime, I'm watching him in every interview I can get my eyes on. He has yet to lose me as a supporter. I highly recommend Vivek's latest on Dave Smith's Part of the Problem or Glenn Greenwald's System Update. Both are excellent.
While my choice is Vivek, I also like DeSantis! It irks me to no end that we finally have the ideal conservative candidate for president (DeSantis), someone tested and proven, and he can't get traction. What I like about Vivek is that he wants to radically cut the government. He's ambitious, libertarian-minded, and harkens back to Ron Paul.
Summer, 2024, young adults will be graduating college with tens - if not hundreds - of thousands in college loan debt.
They're likely not going to be able to find a job that'll pay enough to cover expensive rents, expensive utilities, expensive food and car payments..
They'll finally realize just how truly great 'Bidenomics' is.
Other young Dems will still be ticked at Biden for failing to pay off their student loan debt. Even more are ticked at Biden for his MidEast positions.
If even 20% of these folks stay home, Biden is in deep trouble in November. No wonder Dems are tryimg to get abortion referendums on as manu ballots as possible. But if they come out to vote on thar issue, they may vote for a third-party candidate or just not vote for Biden at all.
