New York Times columnist David Brooks...

Repeated the lie that COVID related supply chain disruptions courses/contributed to inflation.if that were true inflation would have been, in Janet Yellen words, transitory.

The supply chain disruptions caused a predictable supply and demand price change, that is not inflation.

Printing 4 trillion dollars and handing it out effectively devaluing the currency caused inflation. And that was not only the Biden/Harris Administration it was Kamala herself casting the tiebreaker vote.

#10 Republican hostility toward Democrats has increased significantly in recent decades.

Not sure I agree with the use of the verb "hostility". More accurately...

Republicans have a very unfavorable view of the Democratic Party. The preceding points.explain why, Christian, illegal immigration, economy.

The Democrat.party is hostile towards Christians, enabling illegal immigration, and destroying the economy.

#6 The stakes are high

Well imagine president Harris with a Democrat controlled House and Senate.

Yes, there will be another election in 2 years and 4 years, and so on. It's not the end of democracy or America. However, the state of the union will be worse as will that of the world.

Mike Barnicle may be long time friend of Biden, but he’s also a fabulist. The exchange described probably went more like:

“Hi Mike”

“Hi Bob. Enjoy the game.”

When senators, house reps, and governors from your own party won't support you - let alone a good chunk of the people that worked with you directly (spent the most time with you) in your last administration including your former chiefs of staff and your freakin VP you know you are beyond a "flawed candidate"

Look, if the current candidates could both lose and we got a do-over, I’m happy. You know how to pull that off? Me neither.

It’s Trump of Harris. The former’s gone for sure in 29, but the latter could do so much damage. Can’t risk it.

Both of these candidates did lose in 2020 - Trump lost because he wouldn’t shut up and Kamala lost before Iowa because they let her talk. We did have a do-over and the MAGAtards went again with the guy who couldn’t beat the ticket of a dementia patient and pre-Iowa quitter. If we can’t risk it because it’ll be so bad, why did they insist on re-nominating a loser?

I see your point Bill and understand why you will vote that way. Unfortunately there can be no do-overs. How I wish there could be - One of the biggest frustrations I have is with conservative media for going along with the stolen election nonsense and then not fully reporting on all of Trump's illegal efforts to stay in power for months after losing an election when if became fully apparent what he had done. Oh how lucky Trump is that Newsmax began to challenge Fox for viewership - ensuring that the network would go out of its way on a detour to crazytown to make sure they did not offend the Trumpist viewers. How many conservative personalities just thought - no big deal not to report on Trump's brazen illegal attempts to overthrow democracy as he'll just go away anyway - no harm / no foul. Well guess what - huge harm / huge foul - he is back and the opportunity to educate the base on who he is and what he has done is gone forever. If he loses this time maybe our brilliant conservative media personalities won't make that mistake again - I won't hold my breath.

There were many stories of ballot stuffing and double counting. I believe Ted Cruz wanted a commission formed to investigate these claims. The Democrats refused. So what do you expect people to think?

Regarding the ancient conspiracy theory about G. H. W. Bush flying in the SR-71. No one with any familiarity of flight in a jet like that could believe it. Bush would have had to spend half a day in life support at the base getting training and being dressed in the full pressure suit required. All those airmen who would have witnessed that have kept quiet for 44 years? All the crew chief types who launched the jet? The pilot? Control tower? Right.

The Pew party polls perfectly illustrate that the failure of the GOP party to see itself as the underdog that needs to reform into a party that appeals to young voters, minority voters and female voters. The GOP party is still controlled with old white guys like Mitch McConnel that truly believe in their moral superiority... that God sees them as the chosen people to lead. And the radical collectivists are immoral players and that God's will is such that they will ultimately fail as the people see the truth.

We have less than 80 days for the entire GOP party to get behind Trump and on consistent message... that includes all media personalities. We have less than 80 days to appeal to all the voter demographics that don't understand how their lives would be better under GOP leadership, and worse under the Democrats.

If you want to “appeal to all the voter demographics,” there is no “get behind Trump.” Trump is the only one not “consistent on message.” He’s a driveling idiot with no discipline and, if he loses, it will be because of his mouth, yet again. Getting behind him right now instead of forcing him to correct his course is a losing proposition. He has said almost zero helpful things since she was made the nominee. I’m so sick of everyone’s “yeah, but Kamala and libs are worse,” nonsense. It doesn’t matter who has the better policies if the candidate talks his way to another loss. Policies are just policies when you lose. They can be laws only when you win. The last one wasn’t stolen and this one won’t be either. If he loses again, it will be because he wouldn’t shut up ….again. Republicans are freakin embarrassing at how they consistently screw up wins gifted to them on gold platters. I expect the same to happen this time because the party is lost as a goose in a hail storm when it comes to how to win elections.

Dont be blinded by current facts. If you took the same poll decades ago you would find the same thing when Bush Jr. was running. Go back to the 50's and republicans were more liberal with several black congressman in office. The republicans are all old while the dems are young has been that way forever. That is because when your under 30 or under 25 you head is filled with the liberal garbage colleges spew out so you have this world view that communism is great socialism is the way to go. Handouts and free for everyone. But then you get older and have to pay for taxes in a different age bracket and realize you were lied to and so you change parties. Still waiting for the "shocking" in this supposedly shocking report.
