Oh, and swearing. What is HIS problem? I’m almost through. I want to, but…….

He insists on showing the world who he is and those are the people he needs.

Please!!!

Sorry, I’m always off topic and it seems I’m almost always on the verge….

Not sure this would work in primary grades, but some schools have started recording lectures to be viewed as homework, while reserving class time for the "traditional" homework with the teacher available to assist.

Maybe GM was smart dumping Opel and Vauxhall and getting out of Europe.

Not sure I'm going to ever buy a UAW-built car again as long as the UAW represents proggy professors, though.

The idea that Vance is some kind of determinant to Trump's campaign is lost on me. He meets with all kinds of people and media while Harris and Waltz hide from any scrutiny.

JD Vance is proving himself a good potential VP. He’s probably disappointed with his potential boss.

Basically, Kamala Chameleon and the Male Sarah Palin are pulling a Biden and trying to run a basement campaign--hey, it worked for Biden...

Expand full comment

Based on those impersonations over the weekend she should be relegated to the basement. What a fraud. Will people wake up in time?

Expand full comment

Maybe...but that was during COVID when they had an excuse (not a good one) to hide. Not sure if they can do it that for the next two months. And if they can - it doesn't make any difference because that means we will have elected a President that never faced the public. This won't end well...

Exactly. That's why I think it will run out of gas.

Everyone's high on hopium right now, but eventually questions will have to be answered. Trump and Vance could be doing a much better job driving that. Dana Bash did a great job on CNN.

Job Stacking, or working more than one WFH or hybrid job, is a real phenomenon.

Sometimes it's ethical, where someone is working up to 80 hours for two contract or hourly employers (40 hours each), sometimes it's not (working more than one salaried job).

"Trump only needs Georgia and Pennsylvania"

That's pretty much my argument when people say Harris has this in the bag. She absolutely does not. Virginia is faltering and in play as well.

A .5 point lead in the survey polls for Harris basically means she's behind. At this point in 2020 Joe was polled to be up by as much as 7 - 8 points in some of the Rust belt. Harris has a grand task to undertake and even then may not get it done.

I don't think she wins Penn Ga or NC. Well, because Harris has lost OH and FL she can't win.

Electorally, Kamala has a big hill to climb and now the Wisconsin polls are starting to turn in Trumps favor.

Harris has a big fracking problem. That being one, she picked waltz over Shapiro. She has said repeatedly her values haven't changed on fracking and natural gas. Which means she's against it. That loses her Penn.

She must sweep the Rust belt to even have a chance. Losing EVEN 1 and she's done.

But that's not a guarantee for Trump either. There are many other factors. Will we have the scheming and mail in ballot 3 am truckload problem again?

Its not for Trump to do anything. Its for Harris to NOT do some things. If she ducks, hides, and stays away from media interviews, then she will largely preserve this shining narrative the media has placed her in. I am unsure on the debate. It depends. If its moderated as fairly as the CNN one, Trump will crush her. If they unbalance it, and super bias is, then they can spin it so Harris wins.

I however, honestly think it doesn't matter. The more Harris gets played out in the media the more likely it is she loses. Ads just aren't as effective as they once were and her support is not as widespread as it seems.

Yes, I was listening on Erick’s site and it just died. So, I finally just went to WSB’s live stream.

I’m sorry to be off topic again but, come on, why is the Trump team fighting over a song being played during his campaign stops. There’s way too much music to be sued over this. Please, stay the h—- out of the news over stupid stuff.

We’re praying for you over real issues like getting elected.

Could you just stop!

Kamala: Spends $42B to connect "communities of underprivileged" likely voters to the internet and accomplished zero.

Kamala: "Border czar" for 3.75 years and succeeds in letting some 13M "undocumented guests" cross unchallenged, and disappear into our fruited plains.

Anyone else see the pattern here?

VW's plan to leave Germany is also due, in large part, to the extreme cost of energy in Germany which adds to the cost of production. Another unintentional green energy tax...

It's also due to the high cost of, and shortage of, labor in Germany. That, indeed, was the original motivation for inviting Muslims (Turks mostly, back in the day) to come to Germany and stay.

"House and Senate Republicans are starting to panic about a huge money gap with Democrats"

I stopped giving money to the GOP because the GOP is stupidly still fighting Trump and pushing their Handmaiden's Tale agenda. The GOP is feckless and incompetent in playing the modern political game. The Democrats wipe the floor in the media game... especially the social media game.

I thought the party would pull its head from its collective rear by now, but the Democrats can drag a vegetable and now a piece of cardboard to deity level, while the Republicans can only drag down their own candidates.

Trump is good. The GOP Party is not. I will vote Republican, but they are not getting any more of my money to waste on terrible political strategy and action.

Expand full comment

But does money really matter? Hillary outspend and out raised Trump 3 - 1 in 16 and still lost.

I have just never in the modern day heard of someone saying "I voted for XX candidate, because I saw this particular ad."

These aren't the days of the Daisy chain Ad's, I just don't think its that way anymore. I do think social media spaces have more influence than any political ad.

Expand full comment

I think money is a tool that needs to be wielded well to be useful. My worry about the GOP today is that the party will use the money to hurt itself. I would rather they don't market and advertise their brand, because today they suck at it.

"Why is it so hard for China to fix its ailing economy?"

Come on man. China is only what it is today because it leveraged the greed of the American corporatist ruling class to offer up its hundreds of millions of starving peasants for cheap labor while using the connection to loot American industry away. China's mistake is that it mistook its meteoric economic rise for its own internal capability and not just the spoils of looting from the democratic capitalist powerhouse across the pond.

China is still a communist system. The US was stupid allowing China into the WTO. And now China is stuck reliant on double-digit GDP growth that it cannot sustain, the the US is left with a giant deficit is mistakes made including allowing communist China into the WTO to feed of the Global Order... which was intended only for countries that adopted American style open markets and democratic reforms.

"TUCKER: The latest insanity from Tucker Carlson.

FLASHBACK: Kamala Harris does not like free speech."

The irony seems to be lost on Erick who seems to also not like free speech, or otherwise is just so anti-Tucker he cannot help but jump on the Democrat bandwagon to attack him.

Question: Do all media leads need to prevent interviews with people that they disagree with, or might even find their view repugnant? Or does professional journalistic integrity and free speech rights demand that even the idiots get to spout their idiocy so viewers can decide themselves?

Is Erick demanding Carlson be censored?

The inference here is that Tucker should be sanctioned for interviewing a nutcase... with the larger inference that Tucker is also a nutcase.

The free speech supporting response is a headline "Tucker interviews an insane Hitler lover."

On Kamala Harris and free speech, I find it ironic that a member of the Biden Administration, an administration that specializes in distorting the truth, and Biden as a man who is constantly lying, that Kamala has anything to say about censoring anyone X or Facebook for not telling the truth. Sometimes they are the comic relief in this never ending soap opera of an administration.
