Erick, look up the story about the SW Airlines pilot who flew his own Vietnam vet fathers identified remains back home. It’s a beautiful story that should be shared, and you are the man to do it.

Remember Afghanistan & this one? https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.rferl.org/amp/afghanistan-bamiyan-fears-collapse-buddha-statues/32297553.html

While I've not been to that country, I have traveled to the Middle East over many years for a significant amount of time. The culture over there is foreign to us & even more so considering all our crazies. Be very wary of these countries......

Yes! There are panthers in Georgia. I saw one at a summer camp near Jekyll Island one night. I was looking out the window of a dorm from my bunk and it slinked under a light and back behind the tree line.

Did I hear Erick say armadillos aren’t supposed to be in Georgia? Cumberland Island is absolutely infested with them, and has been for years. Seen ‘em elsewhere too, dead and alive.

I went to negotiate with a landlord of a large apartment building I was looking to rent in an apartment in and they told me they don’t negotiate rent because prices were set by an “algorithm.” I noticed these algorithms conveniently never lower the prices of rent. I think the DOJ may have a case on their hands.

Expand full comment

Regardless of the "algorithm", what forces them to negotiate with anyone? If that's their price, so be it. That's how capitalism works.

Expand full comment

Well, typically market forces themselves are reasons to negotiate. The market for car prices come to mine and I’m sure there others I’m blanking on. The problem with the so be it attitude is that real burdens are being placed on people. Outside of taxes, housing costs are typically the largest household expense. Maybe, these people aren’t colluding. I’ll let the courts decide that one. But, at the risk of sounding like a Gen Z’er, I am getting the “vibes” the silence from RealPages suggest that’s exactly what’s going on.

20 million watched the DNC for three nights in a row.

So there are a confirmed 20 million deranged lunatic potential voters running loose amongst us.

A century ago, "painters" were fairly common in the north GA mountains, and in the south along the GA/FL border. Horace Kephart writes of them in "Our Southern Highlanders".

Scott Jennings is spot on. He needs to be careful or someone in the DOJ or IRS might think he needs to be investigated.

The thing that bothers me the most about the DNC is how blatantly, freely and unabashedly they lie to the American people.

I heard your defense of Walz's child on the radio and couldn't agree more. Marvelous. Loved the screw you part. He's a child and everyone needs to leave him alone. Thanks for being the voice of reason and morality Erick.

MORNING IN MY AMERICA

Did something happen this week in Chicago, other than 100 shot and 20 killed?

I guess there was a DNC hate fest going on that I never watched. I didn’t need a train load of lefties screaming they hate me. I am not hard of hearing. I know you think of me as an old cracker, but I understand more than you think about your longing for a police state. It’s not 1984 and I am not your oppressed subject. I am just a dedicated conservative voter who writes checks for candidates that support my interests.

With fresh eyes this morning I see that the titanic is slowly turning. Red states are starting to audit their voter rolls, hunting for illegals voting. And, in limited cases like Georgia, Ohio, and Arizona they are rooting them out. Georgia just went to paper ballots with 3 verified counters, and it’s not the only state making this move. Ohio is hunting down illegals voting to prosecute them. I hope they do, and I hope the penalty is the harshest possible. A well-publicized message needs to be sent.

Yesterday SCOTUS partially approved Arizona’s voter id law but stopped short of removing the 1,500+ illegals who have already registered. While it won’t flip any results, it does not preclude Arizona from prosecuting illegals who try to vote.

It is now, as it has always been, in the hands of the Lord.

The Georgia Elections Board rejected the use of paper ballots.

Of note: I found it odd that even though they were so in the boat with drag queens and the alphabet group, they didn't have them there at the convention? Same with DEI. This garbage they pretend to support in the end knows it is a PR nightmare. By their words they should have invited the drag queens group from Paris to perform the opening display at the DNC. They didn't. Why not?

Also, why didn't they have illegal aliens roaming around the convention floor.

Why didn't they just let anyone in to the convention? Why did they require ID? They seem to be so against that for voting but apparently walls and showing ID is necessary for their castle love fest on a hill?

I am also confused about why they didn't invite a few hundred homeless to camp inside the convention floor. Since they seem to not care about that and if they really wanted to display their compassion, why didn't they?

Expand full comment

They were blowing the horn of women getting the right to vote but they said nothing about men in women's sports. Their hypocrisy has no bounds.

Expand full comment

The homeless and illegals were there. They were outside the event robbing, and raping, and otherwise peacefully protesting :)

Expand full comment

For sure they were. My question is why didn't the DNC just let them into the convention? I know the answer, but its an important one to ask.

Remember to thank Biden-Harris.

I agree with Jennings. The Harris campaign is going to try as they might to get away from Biden and Trump needs to start notating in his ads Harris-Biden. Maybe have an Ad that quotes Harris is Biden Biden is harris. To drive home the point that even though Harris is now the nominee its still Biden up there and will be his policies going forward. Harris didn't just make up these price controls and other garbage she's spouting, that is what Biden was going to put forth when he dropped out.

Much like the GOP is supposedly going to get dragged down by Trump, the dems will be dragged down by Biden. He's still the president and its important to note that even on the most left leaning of news casts, the question keeps coming up that Harris is saying all these thing she will do once elected, why hasn't she done it? She's in power now.

There overall theme ( We wont go back ) along with RFK endorsing trump will push him over the finish line. Most of the Kennedy supporters will either find another 3rd party or just not vote. But a good few will break to Trump. Kennedy supporters are Trump supporters.

Events change things, RFK is that event.

In some ways, Trump is following Bill Clinton's advice. Clinton wanted the party to reach out to Dems who flipped to Repub, and try to win them back. Trump opened up his convention to the president of UAW, while the Dems shut him out. Trump reached out to Kennedy, while the Dems sued Kennedy and refused to take his calls. Trump is expanding the Republican tent.

They aren't price controls, and Sen. Warrens kicked Joe Kernan's butt. Enforcing antitrust laws and legislation on price gouging are not price controls. Even limits on prices of insulin and other pharmaceuticals start with a free-market solution -- negotiating Medicare drug pricing. Not sure why Republicans opposed such negotiations.

Did you watch Gene Sperling on Neil Cavuto last night, trying to clean up Komrad Komalas message. He kept talking over Cavuto, spewing crap, that Cavuto called him out on. At the end of the segment Cavuto apologized to the audience for Sperlings message and rudeness. It was price controls. It was not free market. It was a proven failed communist policy.

Expand full comment

Price controls don't work and its communism.

Remember long ago, when it was said "Just allow gay marraige.." why are republicans so opposed to it. Its just a small thing. Yet look how that turned out with Gender studies and kiddie porn being pushed in school.

This is the same thing. "Just give us price controls, what's the big deal.." Because we have been here before. Give a little and they take allot.

Price controls today leads to communism tomorrow. Soon it will be buying control "You must buy these products or else.." and that is not hard to do. Once they do that then it will be Gov set pricing and a daily bulletin put out for the latest Gov mandated pricing. That will be the end.

I don't need to go on. But that's why.

Wow - I can't wait for the barrage of tweets and Truths that will rein down on Kemp / his family if Trump loses Georgia. Brian probably has more to gain or lose based on who wins GA than anyone including either of the candidates.
